I need to put several web sites in a folder I've named "accessories." It's not one of the four folders in the drop down window. So, I have to save it in one of the four then open that folder and move the site to the "accessories" folder.

Is there a way of changing the four sites in the window (two of them I haven't used in years)? Then go directly to that folder?

The attached shows what's happening.

Chosen solution

What I want to do is click "bookmark this page" and be able to put it directly into a folder.

I want to change the four folders listed in the drop down box.

What I've been doing is putting a bookmark into the "Western Short Story" folder, then opening it, and moving the bookmark up into the "Accessories" folder that doesn't appear in the box.

It's not a huge deal, but I'm working on about 20 sites today, and would like to save a few steps.

On the page you want to bookmark, do a right click in an empty area of the page. At the top of the menu, press the Star. Hot key; <Control>
(Mac: <Command>) D.

Or, Press the bookmarks Star on the toolbar. This will place a bookmark in the Unsorted Bookmarks Folder. To edit that bookmark, press the Star again.

A window will come up with the name of the page and its web address. You can edit these entries.

Next, select what bookmarks folder you want this bookmark in. If you do not see that folder, go to the far right of the Folder line, and press the down arrow.

I was hoping for a couple fewer steps. But I'll try this.

At one time, I could just click "bookmark this page" and select the folder.
