I have a Win10 PC and a Win11 Notebook. Yesterday I could open my email accounts on both: PC and Notebook. But today suddenly I get the notification, the Thunderbird versions are different and I can not open my email account. Thunderbird versions on PC: 153.6.0esr and Notebook: 159. Why did Thunderbird on the PC not actualise automatically to a newer version, even under Help/About is written "Thunderbird is actualised"?? see attached screenshot.
Why does my Firefox say it's Version 159.01 (Up-to-date) when Versions 160, 161 and 162 exist? Can I update further than 159.01? Thank you.

When Thunderbird last updated it trashed my email client. I have been in the process of trying to rebuild it. I am now at the point of having changed the StartWithLastProfile=1 to a 0 so it comes up with a choice of profiles. Unfortunately this is a blind alley. When I tell it to choose the profile with all my emails, etc. I get the attached screen. "More information" does not help. I cant get access to my Thunderbird to confirm my build but based on what I have here I think it is 158ESR. I'm surprised that it thinks this is an older version since this is what Support told me to install in order to get provider for Google calendar add on to work. Someone please help me to get past this point and on to restoring Thunderbird to health. Thank you

HOW Many times do i have to put in the same information? I will try again. How do I disable the automatic upgrade feature that is being used? The asshole intelligence being use creates a situation where shortly after implementing Firefox becomes unresponsive and I have to unplug my computer and start over. This is about to the point where i am going to switch especially since those dregs at Yahoo are demanding i diosable my ad blocker9 that ain't going to happen)

Very frustrated!!! and don't know how to fix it without removing my account, saved passwords and all the other advice online. I never had a problem with Thunderbird and have used it for many years.

Mozilla is going to CHANGE my settings, NOT only to AUTO FREAKING OPEN like no one will notice this, now I have to spend time seeing if someone hacked my system. Well turns out, it was permission given I am sure through BS EULA. How is this not against the law?
