why does it keep freezing on me? I defragmented, scanned my computer and still it freezes, especially when I play Facebook games. How can I fix this?

I seem to not have any problems getting on it, however, since just the other day every time I try to play a game on Face Book in freezes and ceases to work. I also tried to search another site and I can get on, but when I get specific, it freezes again. ( ex: I can go onto overstock.com fine, but when I search a specific item, like pants, it freezes again.) I constantly have to "control, alt delete each and every time.

Hi abing,

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article Fix problems with Facebook games, chat and more? There is a lot of good troubleshooting information in there. Please be sure to try all of the suggested steps. Each one is valuable and may be the answer to your issue.

Hopefully this helps!

That is a clickable link in the post of Matt_G.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
