Hey Dave11,

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

There is also a lot of useful stuff in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) Knowledge Base article. If you've recently upgraded, you might want to check out this article as well.

Hopefully this helps!

Thanks Matt for the info, Firefox still failing in safe mode also. I already unchecked User hardware acceleration when available option under tools-->options-->Advanced--> General but no luck.

thanks

I have the same problem since updating to FF 10.

Running Windows 7 64 bits.

Like Dave, i tried safe mode and such and it still crashes randomly.

It will even crash when it's idle, meaning sometimes when I go to lunch and lock my session, when I come back I have a message that Firefox has stopped and that a firefox process is running and if i want to start FF i need to "kill" that process or restart my computer.

Thank you
