New tab dropdown and tab + select option stopped working.

Out of the blue the new tab option in the dropdown menu and the other + tab stopped working. New tabs will open if I, say, follow a link from email, but I can't make them open.

Try uninstalling the Ask toolbar and it should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and Firefox that prevents new tabs from being opened.
