It is manned by other Thunderbird users who are unpaid and volunteer their time to try to help others. Those helpers can be from anywhere in the world. OR are you talking about whenever you start Thunderbird, you are seeing the start up message in the Message Pane area which says 'Welcome to Freedom' and has buttons for 'Participate' 'Donate' 'Get Help' ? Do you not want to see that start up message as you find it irritating? If yes, you can switch off. * Settings > General * Thunderbird Start Page * uncheck the checkbox: 'when thunderbird launches show the start page in the message area' Did switching it off sort out the problem?
