Why do search preferences not get synced?
Everytime I install and use Firefox on a new device I have to change the default search options to the Engine I prefer.
Why do this kind of settings not get synced with 'Firefox Sync'?

Hi and sorry to hear this the problem is its set to default after download you can customise to your own liking this is the only reason we do this as everybody is unique in there own way
Hello,
You can choose from different search providers such as Google or Bing when you search the Internet using Firefox. To change the default search engine that Firefox uses:
- Open the Search settings panel using one of these methods:
- If you have the Search bar enabled, click the magnifying glass on the Search bar and click Change Search Settings, as shown here:
- Alternatively, click the menu button and choose Options (on Windows) or Preferences (on Mac or Linux) then select Search on the left.
- In the Search settings panel that opens, select a different search engine from the drop-down menu:
For more information, see the articles Add or remove a search engine in Firefox and Change your default search settings in Firefox.

Thanks for the information, I might not have been clear.
I was how-ever referring to the fact that after login to 'Firefox Sync' the Search settings does not automatically get set to my personal favorite.
It seems logical since 'Firefox Sync' also syncs my 'Add-ons' and other personal settings. Syncing the options like 'default-search' provider and other (custom) privacy options seems an other logical step.
Hi
I do not believe this is currently picked up by Firefox Sync, but is something that may be included in a future update.
