I lost my side contact pane. The write pane has no view menu and f9 does nothing. Help.

When I try to reply or forward a message, there is no address and no send button in the write pane. Cannot create a new message.

For the menu, open the Write window, press the <alt> key, then View|Toolbars and tick the checkboxes. One of these is for the Contacts Sidebar. Is it already ticked? Does unticking/ticking it help?
