Problems with search bars in Firefox 38.0.5 & 39.0 beta.

more options

Since I installed Firefox 38.0.5 I have had problems with the search bar in all the pages I open: the search bar become green, the letters I write get hide and show only when I pass de cursor over the bar and disappear again, if I try to correct the text it is impossible, I have to write it in Word Pad, copy and paste in the bar (I most to do that in this post). When I copy text & images in any page, only text appears no images, in any program. When I click in E-bay lists all the items get selected in green. I Installed Firefox 39.0 Beta with no results; this problem don´t occur in any other navigator I tried. My PC is a custom made one with a Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 running at 3.3GHz, 8.0 GB, Windows 7 x64.

Display glitches always call to mind graphics drivers. I was going to suggest updating (Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL), but you might have the newest software available for your somewhat aged graphics card.

As a test, could you try disabling Firefox from using hardware acceleration?

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"

This takes effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again. Any difference?
