Contrary to your information, Firefox 14.0 (Build 20120605113340) doesn't open only one tab (of multiple tabs saved last time). It opens all tabs at the same time, and when there are about fifteen tabs saved, it usually takes several minutes for Ffox to open. And, before you ask, I have the option Don't load tabs until selected ticked.

probably one of your extensions is interfering - try it with all addons disabled once & see if the behaviour is as expected...
