Why Firefox doesn't ask me to remember my password?

Firefox 8.0 doesn't ask me to remember my password in serveral sites as gmail for example no matter what I do. I have checket the "remember password box", even if I clic on the favicon it also doesn't give any option to do so.

Other site with the same problem are:

yahoo.com eztv.it

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
