Check the dates of your the json files in your bookmarkbackups folder in your profile, if you don;t have at least five days worth you created a new profile. The new default is 10 which would get in a new profile. If you don't have bookmark backups before your updating to 7.0.1 then look for your old profile.

Type "about:support" into the location bar (if you have menu bar Help>troubleshooting information..) then click on "open containing folder", then go up one directory level and check for other profiles. Don't modify profiles with Firefox up.

They may be disabled in Tools->Add-ons ->Extensions especially if you have not done any Extension updates anytime recently.

Check for extension updates or look for new version on addons.mozilla.org or its homepage.
