Does Firefox Sync also synchronize cookies?

I am using a web application developed by myself, which relies on HTML + javascript and stores a single piece an information (a date) as a persistent cookie. However, that cookie does not seem to get synchronized by Firefox Sync. Am I doing anything wrong?

Firefox Sync does not synchronize cookies. This feature was present in Mozilla weave, but removed in Firefox sync, alas.
