Cannot copy and paste from a webpage, clipboard, etc. Ver. 7.0

This started in Version 6.0 and continues with 7.0 . I am running Mac OS 10.7 on a MacBook. I often have to copy from a webpage and paste to email (Gmail, Sparrow, etc..) or a Word document. This function has become unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I have tried shutting down both Firefox only and then the whole computer and restarting and sometimes that works and sometimes not. I am able to copy from some webpages and others not at all. Sometimes I can copy some of a page but not all of it. Here is an example of a page I can copy only part of an article from: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/08/18/businessinsider-guyhaus-2011-8.DTL (I can copy url's no problem btw.) On that page I can copy the headline and byeline, I can copy the article, but I cannot copt them together at once. Some pages not at all.

I have this problem too, and I had it on my old computer, this has been going on for years, it's very annoying, almost makes me want to not use Firefox, why cant they just fix it?
