a new tab used to open up to a page which gave me a choice of the latest previous pages I had opened so rthat I could choose one. All of a sudden it has gone to showing 'untitled' on the tab itself but a totally blank page! From there it is impossible to go anywhere! The only way

A blank page is the default in Firefox when opening a new Tab. I suspect a preference is turned off in your Google Toolbar extension; that is a feature of the GTB extension.
