Bulk‑deleting messages I manually marked as Junk in Thunderbird 147.0.2

Steve H

I’m running Thunderbird 147.0.2 (64‑bit) on Windows. In this version, there is no Mail Toolbar and no Junk/Spam button available in the Unified Toolbar layout. My issue is this: When I manually mark messages as Junk, they stay in the folder where I marked them. They do not automatically move to the Junk folder, and there is no way to bulk‑delete or bulk‑move the messages I personally marked as Junk. I’m trying to find out: - Is there a built‑in way in Thunderbird 147 to bulk‑delete messages that I manually marked as Junk? - If not, is this a known limitation of the new interface? - Is there a recommended workflow for users who manually mark spam but do not have the classic Mail Toolbar? I’m not looking to switch to the Classic interface — I just want to know how to manage manually‑marked junk in bulk in the current Unified Toolbar layout. Thanks for any guidance.

I have not used that version. There really is no toolbar across the top of the window? Did that version add an option to show or hide the unified toolbar? Is such an option under View menu > Toolbars?

You control where messages go that you mark as junk. See Thunderbird settings > Privacy & Security > Junk.

You could create a saved search folder with junk messages in it, then select them all in one step and delete them all in one step. Control + shift + F or, on a Mac, command + shift + F.
