Not globally, but you can set this for each mailbox: Account settings -> Reading mail -> Always show images.

Where will I find this setting? I do t see it.

You'll want to click the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the app, then the gear at the bottom left corner.

Then, select your account (xxx@xxx.xxx) under "Accounts". Select "Reading Mail", then "Always Show Images". You should be able to choose to show images from contacts or from anyone.
