Multiple tabs (nearly a hundred) opening after Thunderbird install

Hi folks,

I've tried to install Thunderbird on my dad's Dell workstation (Xeon processor, 16 Gb RAM, Win10 Pro, don't have the full specs with me). After an apparently successful installation, Thunderbird tries to open multiple tabs, literally about a hundred or more. Checking Windows processes, I saw it swallowed about 8.8 Gb of RAM!

I had to 'k1ll' Thunderbird and then uninstalled it. I prefer Thunderbird over MS Outlook, since last one does not work properly with the internet Prodigy service, and Thunderbird has a neat, simpler and handy design (like early 2000s Windows apps).

What would be going wrong? A required library, perhaps?

I'll later try to get some screenshots from his PC, if required.

Cheers

Abraham
