Firefox closed and lost all tabs/windows with no option to restore previous session

I use tabs within windows to keep track of to-do items/wish lists etc. I had about 5 windows open with anywhere from 10-30 tabs each, my firefox closed unexpectedly and did not give me the option to recover the windows and tabs as it has before. Any way I can recover these or am I screwed? Thanks.

The preference to restore from a crash is set to true by default on my system. These links may help.
