Thunderbird exiting upon clicking Minimize

Just withing the last 24 hours, upon clicking on the minimize button in the upper right corner, Thunderbird has just SHUTDOWN.

Any suggestions and remedies would be greatly appreciated!

I had already performed a restart. That indeed was the issue!
