Hello, We use gContactSync and Gmail account to sync our mailing lists (address book) to all our computers. That way we can write "To: mailinglistname" and easily send the email to our colleagues in that group. Unfortunately, gContactSync do not work with the latest thunderbird version. We tried similar addons, but they download everything in one address book, without separating the mailing lists. Also we tried with @yahoo and @outlook contacts, still no luck.

Can anyone suggest a way to sync thunderbird address book mailing lists on multiple PCs?

Thank you. If there are difficulties understanding my english, please ask and I will try to elaborate.

None of the Google Contacts sync methods that I'm aware of (TbSync, Card Book, native CardDAV) so far manage to sync Contacts 'groups' with TB mailing lists, although the first two methods do sync the rest of Contacts with Address Book in both directions.

I don't know of a way to sync the lists, besides manually transferring the abook.sqlite file (Personal Address Book) between profiles on different computers.

Another way is to replace mailing lists with address books, which are easier to export and import, therefore easier to share. Instead of adding contacts to a mailing list by drag and drop, copy contacts from one address book to a 'list address book' by drag and drop, but hold Ctrl while doing so to copy, not move. Export (Tools/Export...) the list books to LDIF format, transfer them to other users, who then import them (Tools/Import...). Show the list book in the Contacts sidebar (F9) in a Write window, select all contacts (Ctrl+A), then Add to To, Cc or Bcc.

Tested CardBook 55.5 and it seems to work now with @google.

Note for anyone having problems with labels showing 0/0 contacts. Not sure what helped, but I removed CardBook and installed it, cleared the cache and validated the @google account again.
