Replied and forwarded symbols suddenly disappeared

Using Thunderbird 60.5.1 (32 bit) on Windows 10 Pro:

I have changed absolutely nothing on my PC or my e-mail server / program, no updates what-so-ever, and suddenly just overnight all the replied and forwarded symbols have disappeared.

It was very comfy and handy to see to which of the mails I have replied, and which not. (I receive a LOT of work related mail.) Yes, there seems to be available a "status" column that states a word "read / replied", which I just added. But the symbol just was much more efficient way to see in quick glance. A small issue, but a pain in the arse. I would love to have things working like they have. It is annoying to use precious time in fixing or searhing for a fix or learning a new way, just to have that ruined again in some time in the future because of a next annoying bug.

This seems to be a bug. Is there a fix to this? (Trying now to Google the solution, and it seems no one has been able to fix this. It just is not known yet in 2019; just like the furtherst galaxies are still a mystery.)

Is you mail server IMAP? does it support the forward and reply flags? Not all do! and just because the server software used by your provider used to do so does not automatically mean what they have "upgraded" to still does. Not all issues are Thunderbird, just some.

No idea if someone somewhere on the server has done some secret upgrades, but I doubt that is the reason, because: 1. No one has sent us, the server clients, any heads-up. 2. I read from Internet that many people have encountered the same problem during the years, and no solution seems to be available.

Seriously. Why don't you ask tyhem instead of starting by crowd sourcing an opinion. <blockquotes> 2. I read from Internet that many people have encountered the same problem during the years, and no solution seems to be available. </blockquote> And this is meaningless. Really. lots of folk wake in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. There appears to be no solution for that either.

What mail provider are you using? what types of mail accounts have you configured in Thunderbird.

Some of the reply information is stored in the MSF files in a folder under special circumstances. Lots of space saving, system enhancing, system speedup and just plain destructive software like ccleaner delete those files. So you are looking for a one size fits all solution that has many causes and even more resolutions. But the simplest one is don't let any software other than Thunderbird meddle in your Thunderbird profile folders. That includes anti virus software!

I have not asked them because the threads are archived and not allow any new comments. Does that sound something new?

Gmail, I am using gmail. (I have a gmail account and our company mail address and they both use the same Thunderbird program; and me as the user actually am not very aware which mail has come to which account.)

"...in the MSF files..." No idea what they are, but as I said, something has propably crashed over night as without even a restart of the computer it simply suddenly does not give the said symbols.

I have not let any software meddle: As I said; nothing has been isntalled, nothing has been upgarded, nothing has been removed. The antivirus is there, like it has been for the last 4 years; F-Secure. It is possible that something has doen something, and that was my exact question.

I have a feeling that you do not know the ansswer to this problem, so maybe we simply leave it here, and wait until someone who HAS an idea, opens his/her mouth? Thank you for your input.

Also: I use the same Thunderbird, with exactly same e-mail settings on 3 different desktops, and only 1 has lost these small symbols. All 3 working perfectly and no other issues; only 1 Thunderbid program has lost the handy function to see in quick glance what mails are replied, what are forwarded and what are "virgins".
