Can't open PDF / Adobe Files--blank screen, ENU error

Suddenly can't open PDF files online. No problem opening ones I have downloaded. Get a blank screen and then an ENU error. Running Windows XP. Must always ask Firefox to activate Adobe every time I want to open a file, but that is not the issue, as no problem with that in past.

Windows XP is no longer supported go to Windows 7 or Windows 10 if you want the most up-to date version of Firefox.

It is working now.

And I can't upgrade to Windows 7 or 10 because my computer won't support it. There are tons of people who still use XP--it's just forced upgrading.

Hi lsk123, your Adobe plugin reported itself as an old version with known security vulnerabilities (11.0.8). Please update it to the latest/last in the Reader XI/Acrobat XI series (11.0.23) as follows. Either:

(A) Use the built-in updater

In Reader/Acrobat, use Help > Check for Updates

(B) Download the last patch from Adobe

Hi, thanks. So, that is the only Adobe it will update to, the one I have now. But I am downloading ehat you suggested to see what happens. It looks like it will take 23 minutes to download!

If you have Reader, make sure you don't download the much, much bigger file for Acrobat (its non-free cousin).
