How do I get TASK to save Repeat and Remind?

On my PC, I can create a TASK, but every time I add REPEAT Daily and REMIND features, as soon as I save the Task, it removes the Repeat / Remind info. I know this because I have tested it 4 times. And it has never reminded me. It does show up in the Task Tab, but does nothing at the TIME I enter for Remind. Also, it does not sync with my Android.

Same is true for CATEGORY. It does not SAVE it.

On my Android Galaxy S7, I use Google Calendar in conjunction with Thunderbird. It gives me a feature called REMINDER. I tried using that (thinking it was the same as TASK), but it acts like an event. It shows up on the calendar in a time slot. But it does NOT sync with Thunderbird on my PC.
