How do I cancel my Thunderbird / gandi.net account?

I am not very happy with my Thunderbird account because I have no message pane in which to type my messages; the only space that appears for me to type anything is the subject line. Does anyone have a clue on how to make the message pane appear?? Advice would be greatly appreciated.
