I have Thunderbird v115.5.1 and i have no print option available and nowhere to configure a printer. When i hit the PRINT button, my only option is to Save To PDF. I have looked for a Tools option to set up a printer, but there are no options in my GUI

When I attempt to send an email, I get this pop-up:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: impout006.msg.chrl.nc.charter.net cmsmtp 15.181.97.27 blocked. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130.

My ISP is Spectrum, they said issue is with Thunderbird, incoming s/b 993, outgoing 587, which I confirmed. How can this be fixed?

I accidentally deleted a fairly large email, namely 3GB in the Thunderbird application, but when I checked in junk/trash the deleted email didn't appear. When I checked locally there was a file called Trash (no file format) with a size of around 3GB and in it there was an email which I deleted previously. How do I return the email back to the inbox?

Version 115 is absolutely horrid! I was surprised recently by an apparent automated update and it has thrown off my email routine enough to seriously consider changing clients. The user interface is unusable, folders are disappearing from view, and is aesthetically a mess. As a 10+ year user of Thunderbird, I'm going back to 91 or will find a new product...

There are many answers to the question of how to disable message threading. All are from earlier versions than mine, which is 115.7.0 -- as witnessed: Sorry! 0 results found for ‘disable threading in version 115.7.0’ for ‘Thunderbird'

Thunderbird seems to have so many minor changes and alterations in the recent past, that basic usability is affected. Not a good thing.

Once before, a few years ago, Thunderbird got so out of control that I had to go to a different mail client. Are we back to that?

Hello Magda, Thanks for the answer to my error message I wrote to you yesterday about a problem with the Thunderbird program. I don't want to repeat everything I've written, but I would really like to get someone who knows Thunderbird to provide an answer to solve my problem; Otherwise, I will delete the app on all of our computers in the company. (We work on 3 Windows computers and 2 Mac devices.) The error occurs on the Windows devices. I ask you not to refer me to any forum again; I didn't have a good experience there. The colleague needs the email program; Unfortunately, you cannot send or receive emails. The installation of Thunderbird has always been flawless, but for about 3 weeks now the window asking you to enter the password has appeared again and again. However, if you enter it correctly, an error message appears.

Ich möchte nicht alles wiederholen, was ich geschrieben habe, aber ich möchte sehr gerne erreichen, dass jemand, der Thunderbird kennt, eine Antwort gibt, damit mein Problem gelöst wird; ansonsten werde ich die App auf allen unseren Rechnern in der Firma löschen. (Wir arbeiten an 3 Windows-Rechnern und an 2 Mac-Geräten.) Der Fehler tritt bei den Windows-Geräten auf. Ich bitte Sie, mich nicht wieder an irgendein Forum zu verweisen; da habe ich keine gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Kollegin und die Kollegen brauchen das E-Mail-Programm; leider können sie keine Mails senden und auch nicht empfangen. Die Installation von Thunderbird war immer einwandfrei, nun erscheint seit ca. 3 Wochen immer wieder das Fenster mit der Aufforderung, das Passwort einzugeben. Wenn man es richtig eingibt, erscheint aber eine Fehlermeldung.

Numerous users of Thunderbird have expressed their total dissatisfaction with the recent upgrade, especially the new font and layout in the email lists. Why has the Mozilla team ignored requests to return to the previous load to restore the font and list displays? Do you expect users to support your product when they totally do not like the new version?

up until a few months ago, Thunderbird opened jpg/jpeg images inline, that is in the message window. Instead I get an empty white box where the image SHOULD have displayed. The only option now available appears to open the attached image with PHOTOS which takes longer as Thunderbird has to call photos to load the image. Also it takes longer to actually display the image. So what happened?

My current work-around to this issue is to drag/drop the attached image to my photo editor which loads rather quickly. Much faster than photos.

As of the morning of Nov 16th, my Thunderbird has stopped getting emails for all of my accounts. The same for my wife's computer. Was there some sort of Windows update that locked things from connecting? It is not my email servers as they all work on my phone.

When I select "Get Messages" the blue bar in the lower right corner is up for a minute, goes away and no messages. It will let me send messages.

I also tried to completely uninstall Thunderbird, it indicated all information removed. Downloaded 115.4.3, installed, started and the exact same Thunderbird came up, complete with all of my emails. Obviously different definition of ALL.

Since the big update I cannot read my messages in the message window without scrolling as I read each line. The message window is so small that I can only see about four lines of text at a time. I can't get the messages to open in a new window unless I click on them and choose "open in new window" even after setting them to open in a new window on their own.

The last update fixed the font on everything from being too big in spite of settings so now I can read a little more at a time. It's still very frustrating having to scroll constantly.

Yesterday I deleted the All Mail file of my Gmail account by accident on my iPhone while away from my computer. When I got back to my computer I discovered that this had chewed through a lot of my files and I had many empty files including some which were archived in Thunderbird so should have been saved on my computer. No problem I thought, I will undelete files using webmail but when I went into Gmail webmail I found that I didn't have many messages left. In my backup file which I checked in Thunderbird offline, I had about 24,000 messages but could only find about 4,000 on the webmail account. As soon as I went online with Thunderbird, the messages in my backup began deleting to match the online situation. So I have a number of questions.

How did deleting the All Mail file on my phone somehow affect my archived messages stored in Thunderbird in my local files? I suspect they are part of the same string that makes up All Mail but should somehow be separated.

Notwithstanding that issue, the main problem is how I can use my back up to repopulate the online Gmail string so I don't continually get the truncated Gmail which is revealed in my webmail. Is it possible to reverse ImapMail so that the web Gmail matches my backup rather than the usual reverse situation? In the meantime, I can use my account at the cost of losing messages every time I go online but I need to recover from this situation fast.

Still waiting for help with my annoying thunderbird problem. Once you help me solve it, my donations will begin. The browser link in my incoming email stopped working about 3 months ago. I have to right click on the link, start my browser manually and paste the link. I've tried it with Firefox, Edge and Chrome (preferred) and none of them work.

I received the latest update to v. 115.4.1 and after admiring the new look, I discovered that I could not open any type of hyperlink within an email. Right-clicking and selecting 'open in browser' fails to open the link as well. This was never an issue until this update. I am on a Win 11 desktop with Chrome set as my default browser. Please advise - I love this tool!
