How can I reach Mozilla tech support for an issue that has not been resolved through any other online option (pre-posted answers, articles, forums, etc.)?

Why does thunderbird convert links to plain text?

On emails that originate from the Android email app, hyperlinks arrive as plain text in Thuderbird only. If i go to the web site for the email account, the links are active. Links sent from other sources and apps seem fine. Given that the links are present everywhere but Thuderbird when missing, it has to be Thunderbird.

In the last few weeks I have opened my email inbox to find 177 old emails (dated from Feb.) A week later there were almost 300 old emails...the same ones......and today another 300 same old emails all in my inbox. I hope you can help me figure this out, and please keep in mind I am NOT a computer savvy person at all.

I would like to thank all of you who volunteer to keep Thunderbird running. So many people have tried to convince me to ditch t-Bird but I love it too much to do that. To me, it is the best and easiest to use.

I have just reinstalled tb with version 78.2.1 o windows 10 but have used previous versions for years. I have been unable to connect my gmail account in this version. I havesearched support and internet forums and the issue seems to be common. TB would appear not to support gmail (or visa versa) any longer. I hope you are working on the problem.

The only time Thunderbird will download new mail messages is when it starts. Option is to check on start and at 10 minute intervals. The 10 minute interval check never seems to occur. Clicking "Get Messages" button does nothing.

I have attached a copy of console error log. What do I need to do.

Just updated T/B and restarted. Links contained in RSS feeds no longer open automatically in my default browser. Tried all of the suggested fixes - checked default browser, checked add-ons in safe mode, checked tools/options content type (no HTTP or HTTPS), & one other (I can't remember now but it didn't work). All I can do is copy the link in the RSS feed and paste into browser - which is a pain. Help pls.

I recently moved to Thunderbird from Outlook express. I have 2 email accounts, a rogers.com and a gmail account. I want to use the gmail account as default for everything incoming and outgoing but need to keep the rogers legacy account. It is set up and working for the most part. However, when sending an email, it shows my gmail address as "from", but next to it in italics and greyed out is the rogers server. The message will not send as it returns an error as it looks like I am trying to send a gmail message through the rogers server and not the gmail server. How do I fix this? I have looked through the identities settings and gone through all the settings mutliple times, but I am at a loss........

I know we have discussed this over and over and i have researched a little but cant find the solution to why, my remote images aren't showing up in my emails. please help. maybe im losing my mind with the settings. i have started and restarted. Using the 64.0b3 (32-bit) version.

my settings are to allow all images, see the attached image.

cannot send or receive, incoming is pop3.btinternet.com port 110, outgoing is mail.btinternet.com port 465, latter reset by BT instruction from smtp.bt port 587

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.btinternet.com for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.btinternet.com timed out. Try again.

BT then tried to help again through screen sharing, since when incoming email have stopped, message reading,

Sending of password for user Manod did not succeed. Mail server pop3.btinternet.com responded: Server error - Please try again later.

i was warned that changing from pop to imap could mean the loss of all my email, true?

please, I value my Thunderbird having spent years building up many folders and sub-folders for emails and would like to retain these even if i have to start with a new Thunderbird account. My Thunderbird is 38.5.0 I also use Firefox and Openoffice phone numbers are 0208 478 9681 and 07443 480 509 if that helps and of course i will call you back. thank steve

I receive email on 2 iMacs and 2 iPhones. One iMac suddenly stopped connecting to server. All server settings have been checked and double checked. Another user on this particular iMac can access his email from the same server. Other iMac and iPhones work fine. I have removed the account and added automatically AND manually. Any ideas would be appreciated?

I tried version 78. I have four suggestions:

1) Return to the version 68 or earlier icons. The new ones look unnaturally bold and cartoonish when close to bits of text, like labels.

2) Restore the ability to use an add-on implementing a "Get All Message" button, or make it a standard feature.

3) Restore the 68-style entry for cc: and bcc: and the ability to enter more than one of each.

4) In the message view, put "Delete" back on the right.

Why mess with a good thing? Change for the sake of change is rarely productive.

i followed advice here recently to reduce line spacing in the message pane but it didn't work until i updated TB.

now after yet another update, that rendered tb unable to open, i recovered using a system backup, trouble is that the line spacing is now back to being too big. how can this be fixed?

can i install an old version of tb [and never update it]....will that work?

Just updated to Thunderbird 31.0. The area where min/max/close symbols normally appear in upper right corner of the inbox screen is a black rectangle and I can't see the 3 symbols that should be there.

If I click where the symbols are supposed to be, I get the desired response, eg it minimizes, maximizes or closes TB so the symbols are there and functional, but probably displayed in black on black background. This wasn't an issue with previous version before this latest update.

Any way to fix this?

Using Win 7 Pro SP1, fully up-to-date.
