Adding folders to Thunderbird

Why would Thunderbird be refusing to add folders to the three e-mail addresses I use it for? One account has 24 folders , next has two, last one has five. I've looked a… (read more)

Why would Thunderbird be refusing to add folders to the three e-mail addresses I use it for? One account has 24 folders , next has two, last one has five. I've looked at all the switches in Settings and can't find anything indicating I'm locked out from creating new folders. But I am.

If anyone has any ideas on this, please let me know.

Have asked SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO RESPONSE. Need to delete old email account in thunderbird. Tried posted solutions but nothing works and it is always asking for sign in/password which will not work. PLEASE HELP...Very annoying.

Under both Windows 7 Thunderbird 101.0b9 (32-bit) pop and imap all messages from the previous day are being deleted from my inbox on all systems accessing my e-mail account.

I have previously been running pop when this event started about 3 weeks ago. On the advice of my internet provider who said they investigated my mail account I converted to IMAP.

I receive mail on my cell phone, an IMAP laptop and my IMAP desktop. The laptop and desktop are windows 7. The lap top and cell phone are set to never delete. My desktop is set to move deletes to trash and to never delete. If I move all the mail that has accumulated overnight from my laptop to a local folder, it is retained there even when the mail on my desktop disappears. If I do not and the mail spontaneously disappears, it is gone from all devices.

If this appears to be a beta related problem, I would be happy to leave the beta system if it did not entail reinstalling Thunderbird. In the meantime, I will refrain from updating beta unless it is a solution to my problem.

After a recent upgrade of Thunderbird, I am getting the following message: "A unique identity matching the From address was not found. The message will be sent using the current From field and settings from identity ------------" In addition to no links being "live" in received messages that are in my Inbox, there are no longer options available to "reply" or "forward" etc.!

I haven't a CLUE how to troubleshoot this and have never had this problem before in the 3 years I've used Thunderbird?

Recent update 91.9.1 (32-bit) has seemingly removed "insert link" function. It is no longer in the pull down menu, nor does CTRL+K respond with the entry box for placing a hyperlink in the message.

This has been working fine for me for many years, I know how to do it, so no elementary instructions are necessary. The function is gone, and no way to invoke it.

Windows 10.0.10944; yes, I know I am on a 64-bit platform but the 32-bit version has been running very reliably .. since forever.

I'm only seeing the first email in a conversation if I look in the email inbox. I can see the conversation in the search results if I search for a string contained within the email. But if I just look at my emails in the inbox it looks like I never replied to the email and that she never replied to my reply.

How can we help? good question. I have a suggestion, dont set peoples email accounts to delete emails after 120 days.

Thanks to the retention policy setting being set by im not sure who (I would not consciously set this setting as I have been backing my emails up for years)

Years of emails have been deleted without my knowledge (until now) thanks to this setting. I dont know how it was set, whether it was during an update or something but because of this I have lost years of emails, numerous purchase receipts, customer information and conversations, attachments, etc ALL GONE AND DELETED

I have spent years backing up emails to then have one setting wipe them all out without my knowledge or approval. As my back ups overwrite the previous one and I was not aware this setting was set, my backups have been wiped out as well.

Thanks a lot mozilla.

You have no idea how insanely angry I am right now.

I have recently learned that when I reply back to an email - that my Thunderbird "sends" the email and it goes into my sent folder, but the email is not being delivered.

New emails go through

When I forward the email instead of reply and put in their address manually it goes through.

Can you tell me why when i "reply" to emails they are not going through.

Checked ports and settings. All good. I am on a Mac with Comcast internet / email

We have a big issue with Thunderbird in our company. We have several email accounts and every single device has an access to all of the accounts. From few months we have a problem with missing emails.

Issue: Account number 1 - missing emails from one week in April Account number 2 - missing emails from 3 days in May

Email are not visible in deleted messages.

etc.

Is there a way to verify from where emails are deleted, or which program is making all this trouble?

Unable to start Thunderbird.Pop up on desktop shows the following error code as described below.

Error : Platform version '91.9.0' is not compatible with miniVersion>=91.9.1 maxVersion<=91.9.1

Please advise how to resolve this issue.

An issue with my email occurred yesterday. Suddenly, an incoming email from a known source, started coming in over and over again. Probably a couple of hundred times now. And it is blocking all other incoming mail - nothing since this started about 24 hours ago. Emails are coming normally through Outlook and on my iphone. How do I fix this. Thanks. I've tried re-booting but no luck there.

I have for so long tried to let TB learn what is junk but nothing seems to work. I have also started taking the time to first mark as junk and then go into that junk folder and create a filter. My settings do not seem to make a difference. I have the filter set Mark before junk classification, match ANY of the following (so the @xxxx shows), and in the last section I have tried to set it to DELETE and also to MOVE message to junk folder on that email address. Nothing seems to work. I know there can be many junk senders from the same @xxx address but at some point I would think this "learning" process would take hold. Should I just give up on this timely filters and just mark as junk and then delete? Am i doing something wrong so my filters or junk settings are not filtering out new junk emails?

You are about to override how Thunderbiird identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores and other public sites will not ask you to do this.

Location: maul.aussiebb.com.au587 Get Certificate View

Confirm Security Exception Then this: This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information. Wrong stie. The certificate belongs to a different site, which could mean that someone is trying to impersonate this site. Both of my email addresses are affected.

I have to use my online webmail to send and receive emails, also my laptop is not affected.
