hi, I am new to Thunderbird (v102.3.0/64-bit) and just tried to import some "Folder" trial from Eudora to Thunderbird before full scale import

here is some findings after several trial : 1/ Many Many Import/ Export Tools, most of them failed to import. No messages were shown in TB

2/ ImportExportTools NG_v12.0.1 (AddONs) - total no. of messages was imported OK, but few of emails was shown in "BLANK" without content. - it was not successfully

3/ 4n6 MBOX Converter 4.6 - I finally found this one, it was perfect to import all messages successfully, but the Last Sub-Folder Name was added in xxxx.Thunderbird.

For Example : under same folder tree Parent Folder Name OK Second Sub-Folder Name OK Third Sub-Folder Name OK "Last" Sub-Folder Name NG => become xxxx.Thunderbird

Bro, how could I change this settings instead of rename over hundreds folder name ?? or any setting before Import and keep my original folder name ??

Photo 1 = Folder Name condition after Import Photo 2 = Settings shown in 4n6 MBOX Converter 4.6 before Export

Using Thunderbird 115.5.0 on a Mac. I started using Thunderbird around 3 weeks ago.

I added several of my accounts. On some accounts, it shows folders that I have deleted months or years ago. They were not visible in Outlook or on the web interface. Now they are visible in Thunderbird.

These folders are shown in italics and greyed out. I cannot delete them in Thunderbird or interact with them in any useful way. They are just annoying. Any way to get them removed? Or at least hidden?

Thanks

Hello good people,

Used Thunderbird for a couple of years now with one small issue, that is the font size contained within message body after sending - basically the preview pane.

every now and then I have a go at finding the setting, the closest I have come to resolving this is to select 'message body, then plain text or simple HTML' whilst this does work it doesn't feel as though this is the way it should be changed, it also has tendency to jump back to 'original HTML'

Ages ago when I first started using Thunderbird a helpful user directed me to the CSS file for font changes to the main view, this worked well and haven't needed to change it since, I did try to find this style sheet again but the option appears to have been removed with the new version of Thunderbird, which btw, is great - thank you !

Currently using Version 115.4.2 (64-bit) on Win 10 Pro

Hello.

I just removed and added again an e-mail account and now I have a folder for this e-mail account aside from local folders. I do not want it to have its own folder. My other e-mail accounts just use the local folders, they do not have their own folders, and it was the same for this one before.

How can I add this e-mail account to the local folders instead of having its own folder ?

Thanks

Can there please be an option to un-unify the dynamic toolbar? Attached are two screen shots. The first shows the top of a myriad of linux applications. The second attachment show the former version of thunderbird.

All share a common theme. At the top is what I think is called the system bar with the min/max/close icons at the right, the title in the center, and the hamburger icon for a menu of system options on the left. Below that is what I think is called the menu bar which in most cases contains submenus like "File", "Edit", etc. Further more there is a coomon design theme where in my theme selection, has the system and menu bars in different colors. For the active window, the system bar is in color and for the other it is darker than the menu bar.

A consistent style across most applications. To a great extent, the system bar is for top-level system options, not the application. Consistency is good. Consistency is efficient.

The latest version of thunderbird breaks that consistency, in a variety of ways. Some people might like the new look, but if you are going to break the consistency of design, at least give users the option of restore the consistent style. Have a option to leave the system bar as it was, have a separate "mail toolbar" under the menu toolbar as it used to be, and use the standard colorization of the various toolbars so the only one which is colored is the system toolbar.

Thank you.

Everyone says view>sort by>unthreaded, and I have done that in the past, but TB has just updated, everything is threaded again and I don't have the "sort by" option after I hit the top right hamburger. I go to view> but can't get any further. What am I doing wrong, and why is TB so insistent on making a very simple 50/50 user decision so difficult to change?

I have been marking emails from a specific account (local councilor in a city I lived in until three years ago), and still the emails get through. I have installed 78.11.0 (64-bit). I would have thought by now that three years of "mark as junk" would have got the message through to the junk filters; that Thunderbird would, by now, have learned something. Is there a hard and heavy hammer that can be used to state finally that any and all email from "Krzstzyn Wzng-Tzm <rzdzng@tcndp.cz>" is Junk? Thanks Chris Greaves

Hi! Love Thunderbird to bits, and the new updated interface is sooooooooo nice! Thank you ALL!

But I can not seem to find a way to go to the Start Page, other than restarting Thunderbird.

The Go Menu mentioned in the article below is not there anymore. And I can not find a Home button when customizing the toolbars.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-disable-or-change-thunderbird-start-page

Is this a me problem, or something that will be added as we go along?

Hello, I have a problem with finding the "Thread with Unread" option in the newest version of Thunderbird 115. In TB version 91 it was in Options > Threads > Thread with Unread and now it is gone. I was looking for a solution in the Google or on the TB forum, but I couldn't find it by phrase. Alternatively, is there newer option to configure the email view so that I can see only threads with at least one unread message? Best regards

Hi I have read many articles about Gmail accounts under Thunderbird and kind of understand how they use a single file, with labels, instead of the standard folders used by many email services. I do not want to see the Gmail section on my TB display. I had read that just 'unsubscribe' the section showing 'Gmail' and all its contents. I put my pointer on the account and look for 'unsubscribe' but it shows only 'subscribe' as a choice.

Why is Gmail section showing up? Why do I not see 'unsubscribe'? I am using TB 91.9.0 (64-bit). I have several accounts for which this is true. I use a Linux distribution (Fedora 34) which is EOL but upgrading should not be an issue for this generic issue. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated ... Robert
