I had an auto upgrade the other day, Now I cannot send emails, I have no spell check functions. I am not computer literate,so don't send a list of options-you changed my system now return it to where it was. Cant help fine!!

I've tried various themes to no result. It seems the new programing language, scripting or other wise has probed too thoroughly.

Previously Thunderbird 68 was clear like Firefox is 80. Thunderbird 73 overlays the Graphics card stats.

Yes it is a very old card. What might remove this effect?

Thunderbird 81.0b4 (32 bit) crashes every time I try to print an email. If I can no longer print e-mails for personal and business purposes I will have to switch back to Outlook, which I decided to stop using more than 10 years ago because it was so unstable.

I was looking at my Thunderbird profile and noticed that the Server Name was an old one, so renamed it. Now all the folders I had in my inbox have disappeared. I can still see them in the Inbox.sbd folder. Also all the Sent and many Inbox emails are also missing. Would appreciate any help in restoring them. Thanks.

Since updating T-Bird to 78.3.2 (3 days ago we cannot send or receive mail. When TBird starts (or when we look for mail) we get an error message "Sending of password for user xxx@xxxx did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again later. " We have 2 other computers (same Win 7 op sys) with TBird 68.12.1 that have avoided the update and they work fine.

How can I make it work?

My iMac is fried, unrecoverable... but I was able to save the whole Thunderbird folder containing Crash Reports, installs.ini, Pending Pings, Profiles and profiles.ini which I believe is everything, all my emails and accounts etc.

I have transferred the data to a Mac Pro running Mojave on a spare drive. I have installed a Thunderbird on my Mac Pro. I have tried numerous fixes but I couldn't get Thunderbird to see my emails, and it would start with Welcome and Set Up Existing Email Address which isn't what I want, but having tried a few ways I have become unsuccessfully familiar.

I have tried http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder_-_Thunderbird "Nothing you do works" (but I think it was referring to Windows so that's not good ;) by completely deleting the profiles.ini file, starting Thunderbird and thus creating a new profile, copying the "contents" of my of my Profiles/ui1yf25m.default folder and replacing the data over the top of the newly created Profile (which has nothing of worth in it) but it keeps the newly created working Profile folder intact thus Thunderbird should see the data and load all my emails and accounts - but it didn't.

The newly created profiles.ini file had 0dcrwgtx.default (which I moved all my files into) plus it had izoic061.default-release (so 2 profiles stumped me).

Wiling to try anything :) John

Good day!

My Mozilla Thunderbird client was receiving messages until 6:35PM last night and then this morning when I try to open up my emails it's saying "Sending of password for user info@butcherboys.ca did not succeed. Mail server mail.butcherboys.ca responded: Authentication failed."

I've read a bunch of the related articles and searched as much as I could! No idea why it would stop working all of a sudden!

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

I've enjoyed using Thunderbird for my three ATT/Yahoo email accounts for decades now. But Thunderbird dropped one of my accounts (the others have continued to work fine) several months ago and have been unable to reconnect - even after an extended "reset" consult with a patient and knowledgeable ATT/Yahoo tech (you know...POP - IMAP - SMTP etc.). After this, my only hope was that the next Thunderbird update might resolve the problem - but that hasn't happen. I hate the thought of having to leave the Thunderbird family, but despite my research, this problem remains unsolvable to me.

My Thunderbird email client updated a couple of days ago to v78.4.0. At the top right of the email body pane where the tabs such as 'Reply' 'Forward' 'Junk' etc are, "More" (actions) has now appeared to the right of the 'Delete' button, which was previously at the far right. This is a real pain as I have been using Thunderbird for so long, clicking the far right button to delete an email is automatic without me even having to look. Now, instead of getting the 'Delete' action, I keep getting this "More actions" drop down. I'm sure this happened once before a long time ago, and I was able to either move or hide the tab to put 'Delete' back where it belongs at the far right. However, this time, I can't find any way to get access to dragging the buttons around. Anybody know if I can still do this, and if so how, as it is irritating the living hell out of me ... ? >:-\

Opened up thunderbird today and found it spread across the two screens of my setup. SUSE Linux Tumbleweed latest build on a laptop with second monitor above the laptop screen. Double click does not return the window to a single screen, there is no maximize button, and trying to drag the height fails. It's locked to a height over more than a single screen. Creating a new profile fixes the problem, and I could try dragging 50Gb of historic material and configuration of filters over to the new profile, but there is obviously something in the settings that by deleting it, the current profile will work properly again? Main problem is when I move away from home I don't have the top monitor and can't access emails on the bottom of the screen. All other windows simply revert to the laptop screen ...

Can only see that gsync is not working with 78 version. And for agenda, I got the names of my agenda but no sync!!

It used to be, upon entering an To: address, then pressing Enter, a new address line would appear allowing me to type another address. Now, the 1st address I type appears with a gray background, and when I press Enter, nothing happens. If I type a comma, then I can type the next address. I see that I can click CC or BCC to enter a new address line, but that makes the process more complicated than it used to be. See screen shot. Can I get back to what it used to be? Thank you.

I've tried bugzilla but I'm going round in circles having been "dropped" not not reporting problems for too long. It's frustrating and I don't seem to make any progress so I'm here hoping someone might help. A recent update caused me a problem and updating to 78.5.0 hasn't made it go away. I have a dual monitor set up on my PC and I use T'bird on the right hand screen. When I go to send an email the spell check window always shows in the top left of the left hand screen - as far away as possible! Of course, it would be much better if it "remembered" where I had it last, as it used to. If any of you wizards suffer a similar problem could you please raise a bug report? I feel sad that I can't do this but I've tried and tried and tried. Thanks, fellow users, I'm grateful for any and all help here. Regards, David

A few days you asked for approval of enhancing the quality of your service. I think I did offer $37 (in 2 operations of #35 + $2). As a result you have reduced the spaces for SEND from 3 to 1 only. I would be obliged if you restore the former set of 3 spaces for sending emails. I am unhappy with your reduction of the service which I have been using for many years.

Is there a main article describing all the migration steps? After 40 minutes in the forum I suspect that I need to rename my address book files from *.mab to *.squilite? Anything else I need to take care of to take care of all the problems highlighted in the various issues without spending another hour or two? At this point I am thinking that moving to Outlook may be simpler. Thanks!

I am using TB to connect to my gmail account. My OS is windows10 Pro and the protocol for downloading email is pop3. I have been doing this quite happily for a year or more. Suddenly I am unable to download any email. At the bottom of the screen it says "connected to pop.gmail.com..." but nothing happens. Have tried some of if not all of thee suggestions in the forum bout nothing has made any difference. I can upload email with no problem and using another computer can download with no problem. Will I have to re-install TB on this computer?
