It isn't a question I'm afraid, but an observation. I am getting ready to finally leave thunderbird behind.
I've been with TB since windows stopped their IE many years ago. The first few years were good - hence small donations now & then.
I'm now a disabled pensioner & need to rely on my electronic items. Also, I can't keep up with TB constant stoppage of accounts "New passord needed" etc, which, when we could get contact with them, was told "taint us mate,,, must be the Microsoft", but upon checking, there was never, ever a problem with MS. It's got to the point where I can't get access to half of my accounts, or can get access to some, but not send,,,, or receive messages,,,, etc etc.
Now I can't get contact with them for help. I would have thought, someone in this business would have a direct email address where we can ask specific questions.
If I can't get help to use your product, it's a shame & I'm seeking an alternative.
