Title. Thunderbird is a really cool client but it's pretty slow. I blame that on the thousands upon thousands of emails that my hotmail and gmail each hold. I don't necessarily want to delete these emails, but I have seldom a reason to have any email older than 2 months in my thunderbird client slowing and crashing the program whenever I want to combine inboxes.

To this end I went to "Synchronization & Storage" and told it to "Synchronize the most recent 2 months" but it didn't delete the huge cluster of older emails. The next option is to tell TB to delete these emails in the same menu but as I understand it that would also delete them in the server, which I don't want to do for posteriority.

What do I do?

This is the message I get when trying to send emails: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: pgbentley101@gmail.com recipient rejected. Please check the message recipient "pgbentley101@gmail.com" and try again."

Unable to receive e-mail via Mozilla Thunderbird. Receive message Server imap.shaw.ca has disconnected. Contacted server, informed that the email is all good. the problem is with the thunderbird application you will have to contact the thunderbird customer care because the email is all fine from our end. Also the shaw webmail is working fine so that means from our end everything is good.

Up graded thunder bird this week end only to find that i can not send any Emails from any of my accounts ..If any one know how to fix this with out deleting Thunderbird to start again please let me know but also i have to ask make it as simple as possible other wise i get confused being 76 years ..Thanks Cliff

Cannot send emails on Thunderbird version 115.7.0 as of 2/5/2024. I've tried to query suggested fixes on Mozilla but not familiar with much of the processes. The Tbird ports, etc match the Application Basics. Also refreshed the "About Thunderbird" link, then shut down...rebooted...still not sending. How can I fix this? Who can I contact?

Emails are disappearing on Thunderbird. Received several last evening and today when I tried to open them they are no longer visible. I am a novice and need help fixing this problem

Thunderbird updated itself this morning. After it did so, all the custom folders I created, many holding a large volume of critical information disappeared. How do I recover them? I desperately need the information they contain back!!

HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

I'm trying to print from Mozilla - the only option I receive is to print to a PDF and not my printer. I have no other problems printing to printer from my computer - just with Mozilla. Help says go to Tools / Options (I don't have OPTIONS in my list ???) then on from there. I tried to upload a picture of the options but won't allow. I have import / export / search messages / message filters / OpenPGP Key Manager / Download Manager / Activity Manager and Developer Tools. If I select Developer Tools it gives me a warning message then to code for various things. PLEASE HELP!!! Thank you in advance ;-)

I currently use Mitchell 1 Teamworks Invoice Software to send emails to customers for vehicle repairs. Mithchell 1 uses Thunderbird. Unfortunetly I am unable to send emails and was hoping for a solution. Thunderbird is currently set up as my default email.

I have had thunderbird for years and donated. I had a password request in late 2022 which failed so my last inbox item was11/Oct 2022. I would very much like to recover my system for Geoffrey@dunard.uk

I use my gmail account in thunderbirdapp on windows 11. When I start to compose an email in thunderbird app, it will create a draft after few minutes automatically (this happens when i am drafting a long email like work email that takes 10 15 mins with breaks in between). The draft gets saved in the 'draft' section in thunderbird app and also on gmail web as well (gmail android app or gmail from gmail.com). When I finally send the email from thunderbird app, the draft from the thunderbird app gets removed however the draft in my gmail web REMAINS. I do see the sent mail in the 'sent' folder in both thunderbird app as well as my gmail web or android gmail app however a copy still remains in drafts in gmail app/web. This creates an issue where i have multiple drafts in my gmail which only show when i access gmail from gmail app or on web. Please help me fix this issue. For reference some info is below regarding my setting of thunderbird app on my windows 11. The settings of the android app for drafts is set by default by the app to Kepp drafts in: other :Drafts in xyz@gmail.com. This setting was set automatically when i started using the thunderbird app. Thanks.

My Windows 10 desktop failed and went into a shop for repair. I have years of Thunderbird messages on it. The repair is complete and Thunderbird is working well again.

However, for several weeks I was only able to send and receive messages via my ISP Webmail. I would now like to move these messages into Thunderbird on my repaired desktop computer.

I cannot find an elegant way to do this. I know I send forward or resend all of these messages from Webmail to the main address on the desktop and then move them into the appropriate In or Out folders. But, I have downloaded all of these messages onto a flash drive and would like to use it to load the messages.

I would appreciate any advice about the best way to do this.

I use Thunderbird to send and receive mail using several accounts. Recently, when I send emails to any gmail address from any account but the default, they never arrive. I have tested with my own gmail account: --Emails sent from Thunderbird are not in my gmail spam, trash, or archives. --I have set up no filters, blocks, or forwards in gmail that would affect this email. --I do not use any external clients etc to read my gmail - just a plain vanilla gmail account. --I use the same security settings (SSL/TLS, normal password) for both my default account and the accounts experiencing disappearing email. --If I search for the sending address in gmail, recent emails do not return. Search does find however some emails sent back in August using one of those addresses. --I get no report back to Thunderbird of the emails bouncing, being blocked, etc. --The same problem occurs if I access my gmail account in Firefox and on an Android. --Email sent from the default Thunderbird do get through to gmail. --The same emails cc:ed to a third, non-gmail address do arrive at that address. --Emails sent from the problem accounts to other, non-gmail addresses reach those addresses without issue.

I am about to send a batch of important emails using an account experiencing problems, and want to make sure they are received. Please advise. Thanks.

This has probably already been asked, but I can't find anything related to it. Ebay sends email from members that looks like "randomxyz@members.ebay.com". I would like to add the domain "members.email.com" so email from ANY member will be whitelisted and have remote content displayed. If this is possible, how do I set it up? Thanks in advance.
