Hello,

i'm currently trying to set the font 'Aptos' in thunderbird 115.9.0 to the default font for writing e-mails.

I do know that there is an option to configure this under 'settings -> writing -> html-options -> font' but when i try to change this i seem unable to find the font Aptos in this list. I do however have other programs installed on my computer, that already use this font. How can i get and set this specific font in thunderbird?

I wrote an email without putting in anyone for the 'TO:' or 'CC:' fields. The BCC: field only had my own email address in it.

I accidentally sent this email before I had sorted out the TO: and CC: fields properly.

In my sent email and it had 'undisclosed-recipients' in the To: field.

I found this disconcerting, since I wasn't SURE if I hadn't put anything in the CC: or TO: fields. I worried I may have sent a rough, poorly worded email to someone and that could backfilre.

Am I right that whenever 'undisclosed-recipients' is shown in the To: field and I sent the email, I can check in that sent email who was in the BCC: field and that should re-assure me who had actually recieved a copy of that email.

Clarity in this area would be VERY helpful.

My email is on a gmail server. I've been using POP for a long time. My inbox in gmail has 160,000 emails. They go back to 2005. In Thunderbird I have moved emails from inbox to to various local folders. Right now I only have from 1/1/2022 forward in the Thunderbird inbox.

Let me know of any way of migrating to IMAP

Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

OS is Win 10 64bit TB is 78.4.0 (32 bit) (is that a conflict?)

For NO known reason TB had to be restarted. Opened, BUT only one folder, NOT the Inbox, is displayed. Cannot see NOR access the Inbox, nor any folder (none displayed). Restarting TB produces the same result every time.

If searched any - all TB headers / options. HELP & support yield no clue(s) nor solution(s).

When I'm writing a new email, I receive several copies of it in my inbox without explanation. It's a recent situation and I can't find a solution. Can you help? Thank you. freiroma@sapo.pt

Has anyone seen a message similar to this when trying to attach a document, usually a pdf to an email?

O:\XXXXXXXXXX.pdf could not be opened, because the associated helper application does not exist. Change the association in your preferences.

Also, when someone send me an image file, I can't open it directly from the email. I have to download it and then open it. This isn't as big of an issue as the above, but I thought I'd ask it too.

Windows 10 Thunderbird 115.10.0

I have an issue with using newgroups via NNTP server in Thunderbird. News only load during startup of the program. Whenever the option Get Messages is chosen later, or when it is automatically run by the program, the process seems to get stuck in a loading state. In this state neither can new messages be read (the headers seem to be there and are shown, but the body of the message isn't), nor can new messages be sent (message sending gets stuck in status "Assembling Message")

This has been the case for a few releases already, and is currently present on 115.10.0 (64bit)

An IMAP mail system is configured on a server running Debian 12. While there are never any problems via webmail, reception and sending work occasionally via Thunderbird 115.9. Even in "Troubleshooting Mode" it doesn't work. The server has good hardware characteristics and there are no applications that can slow it down, nor do I think it is a firewall problem or incorrect parameters otherwise it would never work. The error is related to timeout reaching the server. What can I check to find out where the problem is?

in the contact field, how do i change the name of a contact field like custom properties or organizational properties to something else? i do not know how to add an image! So, go to address book, new contact, and you will see the fields custom properties and organizational properties towards the bottom.....Thank you...b³

I updated to 115.10.1 a few days ago and would like to roll back to what I had before.

Is there a way to do that?

And is there a file that has the version number in it? I would like to look in a system backup to find out the version number that I had last week.

I have a Gmail account and Talktalk account, both on TB, and sometimes as a reminder to myself I send an email from Talktalk to Gmail. However these emails do not appear in my Gmail inbox but instead go to All Mail, Important and Unwanted folders. How do I stop this.

I want to customize shortcuts in Thunderbird using tbkeys but I can't find the right command name.

In the description is written: "Most command names can be found in the main command set file of the Thunderbird source code."

But where I can found all/ more/ other command names?

In my case I want to change:

• "Move to previous UI element" (default: Shift + Tab)
• "Move to next main UI area" (default: F6)

Hello and thank you for your help, I am trying to find my old Mozilla Thunderbird, e-mail account my older computer does not work, anymore, I have not used my Thunderbird, e-mail account in over five years, because I am on a newer computer. And could not access my information on the older computer that does not work. I could really use all my information and EMAIL account for Thunderbird, because I have many years of information on all those emails, I can’t find my password, 0r email address for Thunderbird emails, because I have not used my Thunderbird account in over 5 years. My old computer does not work and Thunderbird Email is a great program. How could I get my old emails back? And working. If you could please give me more or less a time, and date, to wait for your response, so I can wait for someone to help me, and not lose that opportunity. It would be much appreciated, so I don’t miss contact with someone that can help me with this matter. I am in the East coast. And thank you for any concern in this matter please help.

I created a signature years ago. With the last Thunderbird update, the signature font (and image) shrunk in size. I would like the signature to match the font size of the message text, like it used to. I can't find any information about that, or any explanation as to why it shrunk.

when i open the message Todd sent i get this and i do not know why see attachment how do i stop this from happening I do not understand what is going on with my thunderbord

When I click on the arrow to acquire any emails from my isp it will often say downloading 3 emails or 5 emails or some number, but only one or two come in. I have to hit the arrow again to get more. Sometimes it will say downloading some number of emails, but NOTHING comes in. I don't remember this happening until about a month ago. Can you help?

Since I updated to the last Thunderbird version, the messages in my inbox are deleted after one month if I don't "star" them. I don't think I changed any settings? Can somebody help me with this?
