We have been using Thunderbird with a Cox email account. Cox has just transferred all its customers to Yahoo. I want to use Thunderbird with Yahoo. How do I set that up?

For some reason, my Thunderbird recently "updated" to version 115.10.2, and the "About Thunderbird" dialog says that it is on the "esr update channel." I can find no information about the esr channel. However, when I start Thunderbird, it displays the "Welcome to Thunderbird DAILY" screen. Am I correct that this is an error? If just changing server settings what are the settings for the new yahoo? All my accounts are IMAP so if instructions could be made, maybe one for IMAP and one for POP for those who use either. How can I change the order of tags in Thunderbird. I want to add a new tag but when I do it's being added before the last so this changes the shortcut of my following tag while assigning to this new tag the shortcut of the previous tag.

Is there a way to just change the order of tags without messing up the tags already applied to my messages? The answers I found for this didn't work for me. Such a simple thing... At least if the new tag was added at the end of the list that would work for me but it's being added before the last. Humm...

Example: I open a message a window opens with the message. I read the message, when I reply it opens ANOTHER window (can't stand this).

Is there way to keep all the messages linear? And not have multiple windows open?

How can I turn off the threading of my emails? Its driving me crazy as when an email comes in after a short time it disappears into the threads and then I have to open each thread to find out who sent the email. At one stage there were 6 emails noted near the inbox but no new unthreaded message, all went to respective threads. Very time wasting.

I had to replace my hard drive and now have Win 11. I still have my Thunderbird account, but I cannot access the 3000+ emails in my folders. My Thunderbird started from scratch, no history, no files. How do I access and download my saved emails and folders from before the hard drive replacement? The Geek Squad couldn't help. Keep it simple, I'm not a techie.

Since upgrading to version 115.8.1 I get unable to write email to mailbox . I have three email addresses in my profile. All are POP. One (from yahoo) always hangs and the other two fail intermittently. OS is Windows 10 64-bit at 22H2 level It doesn't matter if Zonealarm is turned on or off.
