Firefox is using an awful lot of power. Currently with no tabs open it's using 38% against Chrome's 13% and I've had 45% earlier today. I've never checked apps for power… (read more)
Firefox is using an awful lot of power. Currently with no tabs open it's using 38% against Chrome's 13% and I've had 45% earlier today. I've never checked apps for power consumption previously so that might be normal, but it sure looks like heavy usage. With 6 tabs open, Samsung Internet browser is using 1%.
It's the same for both browsers after a restart. It's an Honor 8A phone, Android 9. I re-installed FF and it's version 101.1.1 When I re-installed FF it was initially only 18% but its gone up and stayed up.
There are settings under App Launch to manage app launch automatically to save battery power by preventing some launches, but it doesn't affect things.
At one point I thought the problem was synchronisation with my FF account, but I just signed out of both FF account and also Youtube, restarted, just the same. When I signed into Youtube in Samsung internet browser it went up to 1.14%
ADDED LATER. I left the phone on and charging overnight. In the morning FF was 9% while Chrome and Samsung browser didn't even appear in the battery useage listing. As soon as I opened a couple of pages in FF, it shot up to 48%.
What else can I check? Is there anything I can do? The Honor battery only just gets through the day anyway, so this is a problem.

Firefox Android V102 (and previous version) crashing when selecting "switch" after selecting "Open link in private tab". This occurs frequently though not inevitably, perhaps 80% of the time.
If instead one selects the new tab by going to the tab box in the upper right corner (see attached image) then no crash.

When using Firefox recently I've noticed my android 12 phone (running on LineageOS 19) is getting noticeably hot within a short period of time of launching Firefox. Additionally I notice a battery drain of roughly 20% in a time span of 20 minutes.
By estimate this started happening about 2 updates ago as of the time of writing this.
I'm using a OnePlus 6T and have root acces, not an expert user. Though I do know my way around software and hardware. Feel free to ask or send short instructions on how to help you guys solve this performance bug.
If you guys need a log or any other information please tell me and I'd be happy to help.

This also happened to Fennec F-Droid, which is a Firefox-based browser and others like Mull, Iceraven etc.

OTHER PROBLEMS IN ANDROID ScreenshotGo: Question I must get help for: When wanting to take a ScreenshotGo Screenshot of a Credit Card Statement webpage or a Screenshot of a Bank Statement webpage especially for something important as an Invoice/Proof of Purchase. User can't do it when I try it all gets Blacked Out (totally Black page instead of a picture of a Credit Statement) very weird. Can someone please tell me if there's a fix to this problem?
