When opening links in a new tab, is there a way to get Firefox to open those tabs in the foreground like Opera can? The overwhelming majority of the time when I click on a link, I want to read it right away, without having to take any extra steps or have to go digging for it.

Thanks

I accidentally closed all my tabs last week but couldn't restore them in the history tab (except for 3 of the ca. 22). I opened some of them months ago, but can scroll down in my history only a few dozen websites. Is there any way or trick to get them back? (Changing the date to an earlier date didn't work out, or I did it wrong)

I love the toolbar in FF. However, in FF Android there's obviously no room to display the list of available tabs, and instead they appear as a menu. What I usually do is select a website from the menu and open it (sometimes several) in a separate tab and switch to it. When I return to the toolbar menu, it has collapsed and I have to repeat the process of opening the menu and scrolling down to where I left off. On rare occasions, the menu remains expanded. Is there a way I can keep the menu expanded (and hopefully in the same scrolling position I left it) when I return to it?

Wanting to recover previous tabs.

How can one close the browser then change the sessionstore.js file back to the previous group of tabs named sessionstore-1.js if that is what needs to be done? The browser seems to loose tabs fairly often when exit to another app or after other actions perhaps.

The Windows version of Firefox features the possibility to 'drag & drop' tabs, thus changing their order, sorting them. That's a feature I am *really* missing on Android - plus: I wasn't even able to find an addon that would enable me to. Why isn't this feature included and would it be possible to do so. It shouldn't be all too complex to integrate it, would it? I hope to hear from you soon and thank you for your time. Yours

After turning on the phone and returning to Firefox (Android remembering most of the apps I was previously running) it first takes me to a new tab on the end. It dosn't matter whether I had closed the tab as a not of interest (the site opens back up again) or the tab is still open (a second copy now opens), I am first taken to a new tab that I don't want to see. This is especially bad if I had closed an 'inappropriate' site that a misleading ad took me to and someone else wants to use my browser...

My tabs have closed most times I have closed the firefox app lately. My settings are correct and I haven't hit the close all tabs choice. I don't want to bookmark them all because I may only be on a specific page 1 time and won't ever go back to that site. It's making me NOT love firefox like I used to. Please help. Thanks.

I recently switched from a Huawei P20 to a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Under tabs settings I have grid selected on both phones. The Huawei phone shows the tabs 1 pane wide and 2 high and you scroll up and down to view them all. As such, the tabs are very easy to read. The Samsung shows the tabs 2 panes wide and 4 high. The panes are small, difficult to read and show far too much info to be comfortable (at least for me). Is there any way to set the size of the grid layout or is this a preferred layout for Huawei. I recently gave up on Google Chrome because they disabled the "tile" feature for their tabs.

Hello, I'm using Firefox 90.1.2 on android. Whenever I open a site and hit the back button and open another site it just opens a new tab and loads the previous page on another tab for no reason, if I open several pages after getting back from previous page the browser just opens several tabs and open all the other sites I visited previously. This is really annoying, please fix this issue. Thank you.
