There are three problems, all related, that are frustrating me with Firefox on Android. I have a Samsung Galaxy 24+. I am trying to get Firefox to use a local HTML file that are my bookmarks, but I am stymied at every turn:

1) when I click on the local, Galaxy, HTML file, I get the standard "Open with" pop up, but they only list: Chrome, HTML View, Android's Internet browser, and Samsung Print Services. Why doesn't Firefox show up there? This is important to me. Is Firefox failing to register its browser properly in Galaxy products?

2) The next thing I try to do is to sync bookmarks so that I can use my hundreds of bookmarks (rather than adding them into Firefox one at a time). So, I click on the famous three vertical dots and there is no "Sync" function in that menu, see attached. So I cannot import my bookmarks from my PC's bookmarks.

3) Thirdly, I try to type into the URL field what Chrome uses to access local files, which is for example: "content://media/external/file/1000005061" but Firefox android does not recognize that. When I change it to "file://media/external/file/1000005061" that does not work either.

i like firefox on my cell phone as well as on my pc, but i encounter a problem on my tablet. The screen is big enough that I could display my bookmarks bar permanently (as well as tabs). if I want to look up several things quickly, which would certainly be possible with my tablet with keyboard and mouse, I can't even do that because I can't open the bookmarks that quickly.

however, i can understand that this is not permanently implemented, but i would like to have a customization option via on/off in the settings and while we are on the subject, an option to switch tabs on/off like on the desktop like the page marker permanently on desktop mode would be really nice.

of course it could be that these options already exist, then it would be that i am too stupid to find them because i really couldn't imagine that they don't exist and have already rummaged through all the options.

1. When we press Home button in the app toolbar, It opens a new tab and sends the active tab in background instead of closing the tab. It is impossible to trigger a doubleclick or from some tests, extremelly difficult to do. I calculated that in order to trigger a doubleclick, the 2 clicks needs to be somewhat no more than 0.08 seconds aparts. :That's wrog and inaccessible, the value should be between 0.4 and 0.8, NOT 0.08.

Firefox is my GoTo browser. I appreciate that it is open source and respects privacy and security.

Right now I am struggling with release 126.0 on a Lenovo tablet running Android 13. My issue is the use and access to bookmarks. Unlike previous versions of Firefox there seems to be no way to get a bookmarks toolbar. That was a helpful feature in previous versions. And favorites are not as clean. My hope is that Mozilla will return to a bookmark toolbar.

Why won't web pages show in dark mode and are still white. So far the only browser I have seen that will also darken a web page is the standard Samsung browser. Love Firefox on my computer but on a tablet the darkening of web pages from the bright white is crucial. How can this be fixed?

When I press the home button, the tab I was on remains in the background and a new tab is opened if I tap on one of the shortcuts. Is it possible to make it so that it stays in the same tab like on PC?

merry christmas all ... in bookmarks why can't you organise them the way you want to ie: move them up or down in the order you want them... I can't find a way of doing it. and secondly on the homepage in the image I have uploaded why is there so much wasted space? and you can only have 2 rows of shortcuts. When I'm going to full screen video - I'm got control buttons on the screen. It's happened 2 weeks ago and go on to this day. Phone control gistogram button's don't hide, I'm trying everything to fix it (( Some time it's don't showing, but not now - it's on the screen - no matter what sites or player on this site ((

Using android firefox latest. I just have a suggestion. I'm using the browser with the url bar and buttons on.the bottom of the screen, to be better reachable with my thumb. Now when I long press a link the popup with the options list appears in the middle of the screen, making me reach quite high/using both hands. If it appeared on the bottom it would be more comfortable to use.

I have to use Firefox to access my bank accounts as my version of chrome is no longer supported. However the magnification of the pages is too great in Firefox for me to use full page options. How can I reduce magnification of a Firefox page?

Surely I'm not the only one, when I try to paste in to a field in firefox 122.01 stock android 13, the paste buttons disappears almost immediately after you long press on a text field. Maybe 1 time in 3 it works ok.

Also, does anyone else have an issue with accessing facebook in firefox? Most times you try to type in a text box, it appears under the on-screen keyboard.

I had my homepage setup on my old phone with firefox and the Ustart homepage but when I tried to do the same thing on my new phone There is no place to enter it like the used to be
