From the image below, I asked a question and the results are there. I've tried this on my tablet as well, getting the exact sane results, no matter what I put in the search results.

However, I choose Google as the search engine (as you can see from the image below), while Firefox still being the main browser and I got results to the question below.

What is happening with your browser or duckduckgo search engine? In all my years of using these platforms, I've never had this issue. Yes, I'm Android user and haven't changed any devices. My setup is the sane on all my devices.

I'm trying to search and selected my preferred search engine. Default selected is duckduckgo. But every time I search it jumps to Bing. Not my preference. How do I eliminate Bing from this phone?

Can't find anything about it, just presumably on browser Firefox. When I accidentally tap "Bing search", it opens up Microsoft Edge, which I don't even have. Deleting Bing as a search engine does nothing. So yeah, please help?

First Of All, Thank you for such a wonderful Browser. I have been using Firefox Mobile for a while now. Everything is perfect for my needs. Except for one thing.

Less Number Of Search Suggestions.

Firefox Mobile shows less number of search suggestions. So, I tried to check in Firefox Focus. I used Google as my Only Search Engine in both Firefox Mobile and Firefox Focus. I have enabled every search suggestions settings in both. While searching for anything in search bar, Firefox Mobile shows only 3 suggestions for my search whereas Firefox Focus shows 10 suggestions. Even Firefox Beta and Firefox Nightly shows 3 Suggestions. This is stopping me from using Firefox Mobile. I can't switch to Firefox Focus as there is no support for Extensions.

If it's a mistake from my side, Please, Suggest Me, what do I need to do to get Firefox Focus like Search Suggestions in Firefox Mobile.

If it's an issue in Firefox Mobile, Please, Fix it as soon as possible.

There is an issue with mobile version of Google page, page loads as white page even at freshly installed Firefox nightly without any addons etc. When searching via address bar results are presented normally, but then when click on Google button to go into main page it load white page again. In addition I have checked it in my other device and it was the same behaviour, so it seems that something wrong is with Google itself. When use option to view page in desktop/computer mode page loads normally.

I can't find a way to move the navigation buttons from the bottom of the screen, where they shouldn't be, to the top of the screen. Tab selection should go back to the top, too. Am I just missing something? Can I do something in about:config?

Imagine always having access to navigation buttons at the top of the screen. You even downloaded an app that put system UI buttons at the top of the screen, too! It agrees with your rapidly aging joints because it's easier to have your hands closer to their default orientation.

Look at your hand right now. What orientation is it in? Did you look at the side of your pointer finger and your thumb? No. You likely looked at your palm. Furthermore, many blind people who use phones will type with accessibility features that often result in their hands being in the default orientation. The screens will be facing away and they'll use 6 or 8 fingers on the touchscreen to type.

Having navigation buttons at the top of the screen can be more accessible to some people because it is more compatible with the default orientation of the human hand. (Also disappointed that I can no longer put Gboard most of the way up the screen. But that's a problem that won't get fixed because Google is too big to have useful support and dev teams)

Using Android FF, when selecting Google.com,it only loads blank white page. Entire screen is completely blank. No error messages of any kind.

I installed the "Google" app and the "Firefox" app. When I used the "Google" app to search for images, I found that I couldn't open the searched websites. I tried to use the Samsung browser or Chrome browser and did not have this problem. When I tapped on the firefox widget on my phone this morning, it showed "google.com" in the address bar but the page was blank. I checked this on my wife's phone and my tablet and the exact same thing happens. I tried turning off my two add blockers to see if that would make a difference but it did not. I then uninstalled and reinstalled firefox on my phone from the Google Store and logged back in and it still acted the same way. For fun, I then turned on "Desktop site" in the menu and then my normal google.com page opened up. When I turned off 'desktop site', it went back to a blank screen with the "home" icon, the address bar, number of tabs open box and the 3 dots menu bar showing on top, but nothing else. I then opened my computer and works fine on my desktop. So, not sure what is happening but definitely some problem with "google.com" address on firefox (unless I toggle on "desktop site".) I also cleared my cache (which of course, was completely empty when I deleted and then added on the firefox app at the google store). Seems like might be a problem on your end? Especially since seems to happen on all four android devices that I have. I've also attached screenshots of the two pages I get, the first regular, the second with 'desktop site' toggled on.

When I go into settings and want to add a search engine as my home page it won't let me add yahoo as my home page in settings. I put https://www.yahoo.com in the URL part of the settings and on Android and it will not let me add it in the settings of Mozilla app. Thanks Graham

If I visit a website that supports OpenSearch, how do I add it as a search engine?

The article Use gestures in Firefox for Android says I can long tap on a Web Address to add a site as a search engine: however on Android 10 this only gives me the standard "Open", "Cut", "Copy", "Paste", "Share", and "Read aloud".

Manage my default search engines in Firefox for Android has a section on adding a search engine, but it is cumbersome (manually adding the URL and "%s" for the query string). Plus it then lacks useful features of the OpenSearch standard, e.g. displaying an icon.

Don't cram unwanted "features" like trending searches. Anything I want to search for I type in. What others search for I do want to see or be bothered with. Your how-to does not work to disable it. I want my search window in the center, it is my phone, my eyes, don't fugg with it.
