When I long press a link then click “Open in New Tab” it seems to open that link at the bottom of my tab list. When I move tabs around to force an update, the newly opened tab goes back to where it should be, next to the tab I opened it from.

This is happening on my iPhone and iPad, both of which are on the latest version of Firefox.

Coming from the Android version there are a few things that are wonky with shortcuts and tabs on the iOS version.

1. For various tabs, the Previous Page function doesn't work correctly. It either loses its memory of what should have been the previous page (even if the previous page was the starting page). It either does nothing, or it loads some page that was not actually the previous page.

2. The web-icons on the shortcut page are momentarily offset/shifted over by one so that the last web-icon is now in the first position and the rest are shifted over. This appearance corrects itself after a moment or two. Also, the appearance of the web-icons is sometimes small and modern looking, then it reverts to larger more clunky looking ones.

3. When I'm in the start-up view (which is my shortcuts), it invokes the keyboard as if my default action is to begin typing an address into the URL field. I must dismiss the keyboard before I can tap shortcuts that are blocked by the keyboard. It would be better if I could tap the URL to invoke the keyboard when I want it.

Hi, my Firefox on my iPhone was updated on the latest version (116.0), and upon opening it after the update, I realized all of my open tabs were completely gone! This includes the private browsing tabs, which typically persisted from opening to opening of Firefox. Every tab, both normal and private browsing, is now gone. How can I restore them? I've *never* had any issues with any prior Firefox iOS update before!

This is critical to me; thank you for your help in any way, whether that be it through my synced account (which also lost the open tabs, from what I can see) and/or anything else.

Whenever I have multiple tabs open in the Firefox iOS app and then exit the app to use a different one, I’ve noticed that all my tabs close. Thankfully, I don’t lose the webpages I was browsing or my browsing history, but it’s quite frustrating to have to go to the tabs section of the app and reopen them manually every single time I switch between apps.

I believe that this behavior could be improved to enhance the overall user experience. It would be fantastic if the Firefox iOS app could retain the open tabs, similar to how other browsers on iOS handle this situation. This would save users valuable time and provide a smoother transition between apps, which is especially important in today’s fast-paced digital environment.

I wanted to bring this issue to your attention in the hopes that it could be considered for a future update to the Firefox iOS app. I believe that making this adjustment would make Firefox even more user-friendly and help retain users who value a seamless mobile browsing experience.

It keeps happening that either Tabs don’t have a preview and then it doesn’t want to load the website, even tough the URL is still available. Sometimes I have a preview but the Tab still doesn’t load. On top of this, when I want to change from one Tab to another, Firefox either is scrolled down or up a bit. It’s really frustrating to find the Tabs again. It’s been working great for many years but since a few months it’s just frustrating.

Recently I opened the app to find my 50+ tabs gone. No crash, no update, no shut down. I painstakingly found about 5 of the tabs I’d lost, came back to the app (never closed the app) and discovered those gone. Again. With no explanation. I’m pretty angry about this.

Recent firefox force to autofocus search bar when new tab opened. I hate this feature, because almost making new tab are wanted to open bookmark. And I also complain that bookmark button has replaced with search button by an update sometime ago. Are there no options to customize for resolving these complains?

Firefox on my iPad crashed and all tabs are missing upon restart. I immediately disconnected from the internet so a sync wouldn't occur and delete them. All tabs still exist in sync and I can view them on other devices, I was just wondering if there was a way to get them back on my iPad? There is nothing in my "History" and "Recently Closed" is empty, so I can't restore any from there.

I am pretty sure that when I connect to the internet again it will sync and all will be lost forever, no longer even viewable on other devices. I thought maybe if I turned off "Open Tabs" sync or disconnect sync for my iPad altogether before reconnecting to the internet might work, but that's all I can think of that might have any chance of working.

I've been searching for days trying to find a solution and and have found nothing, so this is my last resort... Can I recover the tabs from sync (that have each tab's history), or am I stuck only getting the current tab when I open them on my PC?

On iOS (iPhone13)

Like most people, I normally have 40 or more tabs open at a time.

Recently, it seems that when I go to switch from my current tab to another tab, which obviously would probably be one of the most recently opened tabs, Firefox instead moves the view to the oldest tabs - to the top of the list of tabs. Why does it do this now? Can this be changed? The way it is now we have to scroll through pages and pages of old tabs just to switch to the tab we opened just 5 minutes before.

The new user interface for IOS is insanely hard to use. I have an IPhone 12 mini, and recently the interface changed from one that had a large search bar at the bottom of the screen with bigger buttons and easier access. Now, it’s just one tiny row with no search bar on screen, making me either get rid of the tab or open a whole new one to search. The buttons are also ways smaller. I haven’t seen any way to get rid of this new UI and I’m not sure if i’m the only one having the issue.

all of my tabs (normal and private) keep closing. they aren't in inactive tabs or synced tabs. i've made sure the app is up to date, i deleted and reinstalled, cleared my cached and nothing has solved this issue.

This has been happening with increasing frequency for months, most recently twice this week; overnight, all my tabs on firefox mobile for ios will disappear. They aren't in the 'recently closed', I have triple-checked that I turned the inactive tabs setting OFF (and they aren't there), I just wake up and all my tabs are gone. Unlike others whose tabs vanish, it doesn't seem to be related to the app updating, it just happens randomly with no warning. Firefox is the best web browser for me, but this is making me consider switching back to safari for mobile because I cannot stand this. I really want to continue being able to use firefox for mobile. Please, can anyone help me figure out where my tabs are going and why?

Hi, this has happened twice recently where I have had a number of tabs open on firefox on my phone and suddenly they all vanish. They do not show up in recently closed. If they were marked inactive I have no way to access them. I have no idea what happened but it’s really frustrating as between the two times this has happened I have lost probably 150+ tabs.

When I opened the Mozilla app just now all of my open tabs were gone. I’ve accidentally clicked the “close all” icon before but I know this was not the case this time. There is nothing available in “history/recently closed”. My regular history appears to be intact, as are my bookmarks. I don’t have the “inactive tabs” setting switched on so they shouldn't have been moved because of that.

Is there any way to restore my open tabs? I had around 90 of them and would be very sad if they’re lost forever.

There has also been an annoying bug recently where whenever I open the app it opens the very first open tab, instead of the one I last used (which is what I have in my settings).

I have had hundreds of tabs open both on the normal and private side but now when i scroll back to try to access them, they appear blank. For some of them, the title shows, but for others, they are completely blank. I have tried to refresh them but it does not solve the problem, i still cannot see them. I also, cannot hit back / forward to navigate the the previous page for a particular empty tab. This is extremely frustrating because I have things that I need to go back to but now when I do, it is empty. Can you please help to resolve this issue as I really do not want to loose this information that I had on these tabs. I am providing some screenshots to display the issue.
