Firefox for iOS Support Forum

I have Firefox on my desktop and iPad and both are synced. I love Firefox on my desktop but, honestly, I have to continue to use Safari on my Ipad because the iOS version of Firefox is nowhere near as good. One of my biggest obstacles to converting to Firefox on my iPad is trying to save bookmarks so I can access them on my desktop. When I bookmark a page on my iPad I cannot find it's location on my desktop. Can you please advise where Firefox places bookmarks that are saved on my iPad. Thanks

I would LOVE to see the option to either

• save bookmarks to the last selected location
• or to set a different default location than „mobile bookmarks“

The background d is that I usually never want to save to mobile bookmark folder, and almost exclusively use the bookmark bar or even a specific „sort“/„inbox“ folder in it.

Is there a way to achieve this on iOS already?

Hi - after deleting then reinstalling Firefox on my ipad I found that all my bookmarks had disappeared. I’ve tried re-syncing bookmarks to no avail, and tried to follow instructions to find my profile (‘about:profiles’, enter) but just reverts back to the same page so can’t progress, tried settings/troubleshooting but no sign of my profile folder let alone ‘Application Basics’. Are my bookmarks permanently gone? Any advice would be much appreciated (I should say I’m not the most computer literate so very probably there’s something I’m not doing right!) - many thanks, Cheryl.

I find the process of adding bookmarks really difficult. I have a ton of them and I need to keep them organized, so I have to add them to the correct folder when I make them. So on mobile, I have to go to the menu, tap add, quickly tap the "edit" button before it goes away, navigate out of mobile bookmarks to desktop bookmarks, scroll past every single folder and subfolder I have (there are a lot) and finally get to save my bookmark. Then, when I find something else I want to remember in the same category, I have to do the same 6-step process because the browser doesn't automatically navigate to the last folder I saved to. If anyone knows of a way to make the process shorter I would be very grateful.

Help! I’m trying to access my saved articles in airplane mode while traveling. This used to be no problem but new app last year won’t let me. Tell me the secret of how to do it! Thanks.

You know, I really need to import my bookmarks from safari to a more secure browser like a privacy browser and I don’t know why I can’t just do that. Where is the option to do that? I mean this feature is so important, if not critical.

I made a ton of bookmarks on safari and now I’m like I need certain bookmarks on a private secure browser like this one.

I can’t get the app on iOS to download without a messed up bookmark setting, which means the settings button will not open! Please offer a solution? I installed and reinstalled, plus I’ve tried to delete files folder etc, but the iOS download is holding onto the old file system, which I messed up. I purposely restarted a brand new account, after five to six years of using my old account, but that changed nothing. The bookmarks aren’t even holding on to Mozilla Firefox desktop site book markers?

I could see a adclick somehow added to my Firefox app on iPhone iOS 17. I don’t see any actual bookmarks exist but don’t know how this reference still exist and how to remove it?

Please refer the screenshot, appreciate any and all the help to understand and remove this adclick.

Why is there no bookmarks toolbar for Firefox IOS? This makes the program useless to me. Is there any way to create and see bookmarks? None of the answers in the forums are of any help. What you tell me I should see I don’t see.

I’ve used Firefox for years because I support non-corporate efforts like this, but the lack of quick access to create and use bookmarks is a deal-breaker for me.

A virus warning kept appearing on my Firefox browser so I deleted the app and redownloaded it. I lost all my bookmarks and I know you have to have them somewhere please help

I hope there will be an update in which we get bookmarks on the top for ipad. just like on pc. it's definitely possible cause there is enough screen real estate. or make two bars or 3 on ios. I hope this is a feature that will be picked up and implemented one day. I fully switched to Firefox. Cause now it connects every search result to desktop. Also I like that it isn't chromium based
