I have 2 OS's on my computer (on different drives) - in W7 my Firefox Master Password works normally but when I try to open Firefox when using W10 the same password DOESN'T work. I'd rather not lose all the stored info by doing a reset of it on the W10 OS. Is there another way to resolve it?

The strict protection mode in Firefox has been really great for me so far. My understanding is that it creates a separate "cookie jar" for each website. Knowing this, I was wondering if Facebook container is still needed to stop Facebook tracking. I never visit the Facebook website and I don't have a Facebook account. I also use Ublock and Privacy badger, if that makes a difference.

Greetings...

As I visit specific websites and they attempt to install one or more cookies in my Firefox browser, I would like to be able to enable them for the then-current session only, so that they are automatically deleted when I close my Firefox browser.

While I could configure my Firefox browser to delete all cookies and site data when I close my Firefox browser, I do not want to delete all cookies, only those cookies that I have specificaly enabled for the then-current session only.

Is there any way that I can accomplish this in my Firefox browser? Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a way to do this based on my research to date.

Thank you for your attention!

First off, I tried to submit this using the "Submit Feedback" feature of the browser, but it's disabled right now, so I can't. Hopefully this works, or someone can tell me another way to request a feature from the developers.

I also know that I can use the Master Password feature to protect my passwords, but that's too extreme for my liking. I'm looking for a middle ground, where I don't have to enter my master password every time I want to use the browser, but I do want to enter it as a requirement for viewing my passwords in plain text.

Master password also seems to be blocking automatic log in on a lot of websites, so it is doubly annoying. :)

I've seen other people mention they would like this as well, so I think it would be a good thing to implement, which really wouldn't be too difficult to do.

I just sent an e-mail to someone at a company that handles my finances and I immediately got an ad in my Yahoo mail from a company called BeenVerified asking if I wanted to know more information about the person I sent the e-mail to. This is very unsettling. I don't know if it is really related to Firefox, or Yahoo Mail, or the fact that I had an account with BeenVerified in the recent past which I cancelled sometime back.

Is there a possibility that the security settings within Firefox can be changed to stop such a thing?

Thank you for your time!!!

Hi everyone,

I do need help on the following issue: I'm logged in my mailbox with Firefox browser. The password is saved and available in the browser settings. BUT. If I try to enter it and log in from another device, the mail service says the password is wrong. I can't understand how it is possible. The browser should use one of the saved passwords for the authorization, right? Why doesn't it work outside this very browser?

MAYBE one day I changed the password in the mail service, logged in, BUT didn't refresh it in the browser settings? May the browser use some cookies, service files or something like that for authorization despite unactual password saved? If yes, then how is it possible to extract the true password out of those files?

I turned to the mail service support, but they can't help me, because I didn't enter my real name, phone number or something during registration that could help to check my identity. So the only opportunity to save my mail is to use the browser files somehow. I'm going to reinstall Windows and I will loose access to my mail forever in this case that would be very very bad.. ((( Please, help!

When I go to maps.google.com the screen pauses and does not go to the site until I refresh or reselect the bookmark. The about:networking shows maps.google.com as port 80. The site is https and I am using D.O.H. so I would not expect to see any port 80 value for maps.google.com.

Is this a known bug?

I'm a web development student doing a class in MongoDB, mongoose, node.js. We are being walked through https and SSL(or whatever they are calling it this week) by creating a self-signed certificate through OpenSSL that will allow us to use the localhost to test our authentication schemes (user vs admin having proper access to different endpoints of the router). How to do this in Firefox. Even the advanced button on the error page doesn't seem to allow me to bypass and "take the risk" anymore like it used to. Thanks for help.

I refreshed my firefox (as recommened ). I have now lost all my passwords and "restore previous history" .. I have managed to log in to Firefox but can't retrieve my passwords other than re-registering with my various accounts. How can I get back to my previous version of Firefox which was what I used for years with no problems.

I've used Firefox for many years, and NEVER has the "block audio and video" setting ever worked. It is really annoying to be trying to read an article and have a video playing - distracting me - while I'm trying to read. When I try to ignore it and scroll past, it pops out and starts playing in the lower right hand corner in the way of whatever I'm trying to read, so I have to close the video down. I'm not a programmer, I'm a simple user. Why is Mozilla even pretending to block videos when they don't?

I deleted all my information, data and the Firefox Browser app last year, but my passwords were still leaked. Some passwords I had already changed since the last data breach.

Does anyone know why or how this happened? Is there a way to contact Firefox to delete all of my information permanently from their system to prevent this from happening again?

Hi. I received a legitimate email, Firefox Monitor <breach-alerts@mozilla.com> notifying me that my email had been breached. I changed my password and received notification that the new pw was accepted. When I tried to login on my laptop and entered my email, I was not allowed to Continue to the next page to enter the new password. Surprisingly, to me, the Community Forum page DID accept my new login information. It appears I can still use Firefox browser on my android phone (Galaxy s10) but previous websites that were open were gone, which didn't surprise me. However, on my Galaxy s4 tablet, all the previously opened pages are still there. At this point, my main issue is how can I sign into Firefox Monitor on my laptop? Thanks for your help.

I've been using a private Firefox window, but I notice Google keeps sending me YouTube videos and Pinterest suggestions based on obscure things I've only mentioned in a chat forum, while using this browser. And having to do with things mentioned in a text someone sent me. Neither I nor the texter have a Google phone. I don't have Chrome installed, so it's not like I had their browser open. Don't know how they're doing it. It's creeping me out. It cannot be coincidence.

We proceeded exactly according to the description for installing the option to save user names and passwords for further use. But it doesn't work. There comes the question if user name and password should be stored and despite you get "yes" they are not stored. Everything funcions well on our other computers but it doesn't work on our additional computer we are just installing. What could be the problem?
