I have tried all fixes suggested by others reporting similar problems with previous versions, but this was noticeable for me yesterday afternoon right after some downtime and the latest version (for me) of Firefox was installed. Every time I try to use a site requiring recaptcha, the wheel spins and I get no choice to log in. I've cleared cookies and my cache, refreshed Firefox, etc. Nothing works.

I'm not sure when it happened, but somewhere along the line, Firefox stopped showing on-hover tooltips on unfocused windows. Clicking into the Firefox window again can disrupt what I'm doing in another window, however. For example trying to hover on the Firefox window with my mouse cursor, and type the text of the tooltip into a different window, while leaving the tooltip visible. Wrecks that idea!

I guess I assumed it'd be a temporary issue, that'd get resolved in a later update, without having to say anything about it, and I was wrong about that.

Any idea what's up, and how to get the tooltips to work as I would like them to?

Hello, since the latest version of Firefox, as always, it breaks now if I want to enter instantgaming or it does not enter no matter how much I click on enter or in kinguin.net, when it asks me for the recapcha, it stays in an infinite loop and does not show the images. .

I have done safe mode and installed firefox from 0 and nothing, it is tedious that at this point a browser that has been having this type of problems for years because in opera, edge they do not give me these errors, it is tiring to always have to have a browser that fails due to anything.

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

hello ppl i hope u guys doing good look in some sites firefox is not playing any sound no audio like on facebook reels or watching a vedio there i cant hear anything and some sites also when i watch vedio i cant hear any sound but in other browser everything work perfect but i like to use firefox its audio prblm and pls know thats the prblm is not from my windows i have windows 10 everything work fine pls help me fix this thx.

I started getting this message today - "this page is slowing down firefox. To speed up your browser stop this page" How can I fix it other than to start using Safari.

I am a bookkeeper and use QuickBooks Online (QBO)(AUS version) as my preferred accounting program, Intuit recommends using Chrome, but I had problems with that too, in that it has fields in QBO that will not work, I have switched to Firefox because it handles the 'black' look and the columns within the ledgers are more stable, however Firefox is constantly crashing it can recover most times to where I was, but it is most infuriating. Question is, is this a known problem and can it be fixed by changing the settings? Geoff Woodford

Why can't Firefox copy text to the clipboard anymore? It won't copy text from a web page, from a URL, or even from about:support "Copy text to clipboard"!!! I'm using version 1.22 64 bit on windows 11. I've reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make a difference. I've tried "Troubleshoot Mode" and it's still broken!!!

I can paste into Firefox but something has broken copy!

Firefox browser problem. When dragging the mouse over text on a webpage to select text I want to copy, some of the selected text and an area of webpage adjacent to the text I'm trying to select is blocked by a box that automatically appears. Sometimes it whites-out a box-shape but usually it's blacks-out. This blocks that part of the page and some of the text I'm trying to select while I'm dragging my mouse and I can't see the mouse while I'm trying to select text within that box. What did I do to cause this and can I change something to make it stop? This is only when using Firefox and I didn't have this issue until October 2023.

For the last few days the ebay website is very slow when I open it. If I switch to Chrome, ebay's website loads okay. All other websites seem to load through Firefox with no problem. Any ideas???

Since the last update (earlier this week) firefox uses large amounts of memory. It shows in the windows task manager 20 and more instances of firefox being open and one of them using 85%-90% of the available memory. I looked up help articles regarding this issue and one of them mentioned to "Delete content-prefs.sqlite file". When I do that it will help for a short period of time but then the issue is happening again. I'm using Windows 11 64 bit.

I'd appreciate some advice on how to deal with this.

Using Nord Pass extension on Mozilla fine until today, when clicking on the green icon for stored username and password, this appears - "sudden error message : can't handle ITEM/URL_SEARCH type message"

A couple of weeks ago the scroll wheel on my Logitech mouse stopped working with Firefox. It works fine on all other applications on my computer but will not work on any web page or any Firefox menu. I am not using XMBC. I updated to Firefox 119.0.1 this morning and it didn't make any difference.

I've used FF for years and always had - "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" and "When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately."

Until very recently this worked well.... now there are two identical tabs opening the link and the switch to immediately does not work.

I've been having this problem for a couple of weeks now. When I go to certain websites (that work on Every other browser I use) I get the following error:

Network Protocol Error

An error occurred during a connection to www.diamondtoolstore.com.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the network protocol was detected.

   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

It happens with Lowes & Home Depot - two sites I use every day for work. Now I have to use Chrome or Microsoft Edge -YUCK. I went to your help page and tried everything I could find that may help with this issue and nothing has helped. I see that there are a LOT of other people having the problem as well...Can you please fix it.
