Firefox is using a massive amount of ram for an unspecified task, simply defined as "GPU" is the baked-in task manager. The attached image is after a fresh reboot, with Firefox consuming about 8 GB more than it reasonably should, with only three ish tabs loaded.

I have always read downloaded .pdf files in Acrobat. I inadvertently changed the setting to "Open in Firefox" (I got a prompt and clicked it without intending to). I have changed the preference back to "Use Adobe Acrobat" in Settings/General/Applications, but Firefox keeps opening pdfs in a browser window. How do I get Firefox to abide by my preference setting?

Prior to Version 113.0.1 I had No problems with all my web sites. Now, I have major issues. From not being able to log on to having to close the browser totally because Firefox won't allow me to go back to the site's home page. I know this accurate as I can log on to the sites via Safari and No problems and the sites work correctly.

Firefox very often crashes on exit. It's been doing it for some time now, but am not sure exactly when it started.

I have updated to the latest version 113.0.2 (64 bit), am on Windows 10 which is also up to date. I have tried clearing the cache.

I have been using code (stored in the Chrome folder of my profile) to keep the 'open application menu' pancake button on the left end of the toolbar. After I updated to version 113.0.1 today, I see that button shifted back to the right end of the bar. I do NOT want it there. Can you fix it so the code will work again? Is there alternate code or some other means to accomplish the same end?

I have a 2020 Mac Mini with Ventura 13.2.1 on it. I have four virtual desktops which are part of the OS. I place various apps on the others like stocks and weather etc. to diminish clutter on screen. Firefox shows up on all 4 of them. I want it on only one desktop. Safari works on only one and doesn't show in the other 3 desktops. I have searched the net but haven't found anything that speaks to this in particular. Thanks for any help with this and I hope it's just a simple setting. Regards, Jim Stephens

I don't like Firefox videos showing up in my media player controls, so I turned off media.hardwarekeys.enabled, but it doesn't seem to do anything anymore. I'm pretty sure it used to work at some point, don't know when it stopped working. Even though I have it turned off, videos still appears in the Media Player on my panel, and I can play and pause them with the play/pause button on my keyboard. I have also tried disabling dom.media.mediasession.enabled, but that doesn't help either.

In youtube videos, creators will say "click the link above" and point and often there will be links on screen during a video for related content, aka annotations. They simply don't exist in firefox. I can't click or even see them. I opened YT in chrome and the annotations all pop up and are clickable. Annotations are turned on I've cleared cookies to no avail. Please advise.

Just recently, in the past day or so, when I do a search in the search box, all the results get redirected to Bing instead of Google, that I have in my settings as default. I have checked my settings, I even removed Bing from the list, and I still only get Bing results. Even when I go to Google and use their search box on their domain, I get Bing results. I did a virus scan without finding any problems. I'm stumped and don't understand why this happened and nothing I do can detect uncovers why this is happening.

Really irritating when I have to spend my time fixing stuff that is lurking in cyberspace!

I don't know if breakage is the correct topic. I keep Ring.com open to the dashboard in a pinned tab. A few days ago, I had viewed and cleared videos as usual and later returned to view new activity. The site requires logging in every 30 days and so seeing that I needed to do so was not a surprise. What was a surprise was that the login buttons were grayed out. I closed the tab, cleared the Ring cookies and cache and tried again. No luck. I wondered if there was some other setting that I didn't know about and decided to open a private window and try it there. To my surprise, it works. I'm stumped. I'll attach the raw data from the private window as a .txt file. Darn. I can only attach an image. Well, I have it available and can copy and paste it into a subsequent post if you think it would help

i've facing this issue for weeks. i've completely abandoned windows server 2019 as daily os and installed windows 10 with latest patches. installed firefox and firefox developer as usual and did my same settings for years. but videos can't be played on reddit, twitter and linkedin. i tried to refresh browser, disabled addons (only ublock and enhancer for youtube is installed) to be sure. but still got nothing. in my laptop with same addons and same privacy & security settings could play videos.

Years ago the find bar was located at the top of a page. The somewhere along the line it was moved to the bottom.

Some good guys realized that's a problem for some of us and came up with code to put into a .css file. That was in 2017/18

The code has worked until last week ~2023/05/15.

Now the find bar is firmly planted at the bottom of the page...very awkward place for me. Makes edge look like something to consider as their find bar is still at the top.

I've check the code and no problems...I say it appears firefox is no long allowing this customization code to be used.

I've checked the knowledge base and the same articles from 2017/18 are still there...and the solution no longer work.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I hate traversing from the top to the bottom to do my work. The find bar at the top really made it convient and easier to do my job.

Since `monospace` means something diffrent on every device, and I need consistency between clients I use `Roboto Mono` on my Website as ASCII-Art font. For some reason Firefox on Windows cannot render the font properly (view image). What can i do to fix this? The problem presists across my desktop and Laptop. I'm using the latest version of firefox, at the moment i had a trouble. Text of timeline zone of my facebook hidden, first timeline unhide but other timeline hidden. I'm restart my firefox, remove and resync ... but this error continue. I'm try other browser as chrome, brave no error. How to fix it? I'm the fan of Firefox but user experience too bad with this error I'm upload some images screenshot with error and no error with chrome browser. ++

hello i have around 30+ themes and i want to delete all of themes (because i want to keep the favorite ones ) but if i delete them one by one takes time , is there any option to delete them all at once i haven't found anything on internet

Hello. Wanna report that i noticed strange border while in fullscreen mode while watching a video. The same things happens even if you go fullscreen mode on browser (not a video). Yesterday was fine. System 7, 64bit, Mozilla update 113.0

My laptop died but I have been able to rescue the SSD and turn it into a USB connected external drive. I can see all data from my old PC.

I have tried to copy all of my User, Local Apps Data Mozilla Profile data folders to my new Laptop but the data does not appear when I fire up Firefox on the new laptop.

The old laptop folder was c:\Users|Phil, the new laptop is C:\Users\Phill {setup of new PC added a second L to my name}

Is this an issue ?
