I used to sign in to my credit card through Elan Financial Services and then I would highlight my credit card, tell it the date range I needed to update to Quicken, and hit enter. a popup would give me the option of opening the file or to save the quicken file to my computer. I would select the option to open the file and it would update my register on Quicken. Now, I only get the option to save the file to my computer. On Microsoft Edge, I still get the choice to open or save the file. Why doesn't Firefox support the Open Function anymore. I use Firefox for everything, but now I have to remember to switch to Edge for this one important update. Is this a change in Firefox or something I have to deal with Elan on? About a week ago, Firefox stopped updating the fonts on Canva art boards. I have attached a screen shot to show that the font name is correct (shown in the menu bar), but it is not reflected on the art board. The screenshot also has a popup of the image downloaded which shows the same font as in the menu bar.

I have used Canva in Firefox of years! I am now having to use Chrome and Edge. I would prefer Firefox. Please fix the problem.

Hello, Why does Firefox convert my mp4 files to 3gpp files when I download them from my personal Flickr account?? Chrome does not - they download perfectly when I download videos from my Flickr account using Chrome - so why can't I download them as mp4 files in Firefox???

I am running Firefox 100.0.2 64 bit and now after literally years of visiting https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/ to pay my mobile bill every month, it won't open the page. [See image of error]. I have gone into settings | browser privacy and tried turning off blocking for cookies, tracking content, cryptominers, and fingerprinters. No difference. I have gone into Enhanced Tracking Protection and clicked on Manage Exceptions and it won't give me an option to add the website. The site opens normally in Chrome. I find the instructions for "What to do if a site seems broken", but there is no shield or broken shield next to the web site address to click on. [See second image].

When I connect to my home router via HTTPS I get a popup with the message “Invalid Encryption Key”. I tried using other installations of Firefox and I don't get this pop up. I then made a new Firefox profile on the same computer and did not get the popup. So it seemed like a Firefox "refresh" would be in order. But after the refresh the problem persists.

So how do I resolve this issue?

Firefox is the latest version running on a Mac.

The "Latest Tweets" header on twitter has recently started automatically scrolling and blocking whatever is shown on screen.

If I try to tweet, the screen appears to split and it is not possible to see the actual Tweet edit and post screen and the screen locks not able to move up or down.

This has only started in the past few days.

Can you help me to disable to scrolling of the sticky header?

I have a small window where I keep track of ball game score. Unfortunately, as I keep browsing, Firefox overwrites that window with new content. Is there a way to tell Firefox to leave that window alone?

I autoscroll, using the middle mouse button a lot. I middle click, release the button, and just move the mouse. To stop the scrolling I click the middle button again.

The problem is that in Twitter (only when using Firefox, not Chrome), and perhaps a very few other websites, if I make that second click (to end scrolling) over a link or linked image, the link opens (in a new tab). This is very frustrating, since I can move the mouse anywhere while scrolling, and I commonly mistakenly open links this way, interrupting my reading.

If I am *not* autoscrolling and middle-click on a link in Twitter, nothing happens. (Perfect!) But if I am autoscrolling the link opens (Bad!).

How can I set up Firefox to that the middle mouse button will never open links, and only function for scrolling?

To Whom It May Concern,

On other browsers such as Google Chrome these elements load instantly after clicking on them.

I have uninstalled all addons and accepted all cookies, I also tried to disable hardware acceleration, all to no avail.

I've been looking everywhere to cancel the automatic download of files into the "download" folder when I ONLY need to open them for a short usage from a web page . Now I've got to manually wipe out the "download" folder on my computer... very annoying as now I sometimes don't know which files I've download and which have been put there from a Open only action. Why do I have to use another folder for my download than Firefox for temporary files???

I want to know if Firefox will go back with that stupid idea or if I need to look for another browser?

Using Windows 11 and want to set Gmail as my mailto option when clicking on email links on websites. Under Firefox/Settings/Mailto I no longer see the option for Gmail, not an expert on technical matters so I have googled the problem but still can't find a solution. Do I need to find an App on Windows or perhaps an Extension within Firefox, feeling completely lost at the moment.

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. I asked this question some time back here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1362859 I'm asking again to reframe the question. The problem is - if my experience is a guide to the rest of the world - VTT files (which are used to caption HTML video) are no longer read/loaded by Firefox when it is viewing the HTML file locally (i.e. file://). On the web they are loaded as expected. Presumably there's a security setting somewhere in Firefox that now refuses to load the VTTs locally. Maybe under Help > More troubleshooting information there is a setting to change to fix that?

So I wanted to join Rally, but I am concerned about granting access to my passwords and logins to the Rally clients. If I create a new profile and sign in with my only Firefox account will Rally clients have access to my passwords and logins from other profiles?

Is it possible to change how long notifications stay on-screen for? I often find they stay on-screen for too long and would like to shorten the duration. I tried researching it, but couldn't find any answers.

I'm using a desktop with Win 10, i7, 16GB mem, 1TB hdd, hardwired internet @ 200mbps. For the past 2-3 days, when I click on the Firefox icon nothing opens for as much as 2 mins. All I get is the link in the top bar. It also happens when I try to change accounts, both using Firefox. I have absolutely no problem using Chrome to access my two accounts. If I close Firefox using the small X on the top line, next time I click on the icon what comes up is a blank page with previous sites used. When I click on one, same thing - takes forever to load/open. I uninstalled/reinstalled yesterday, no help. What do I need to do to fix it short of permanently eliminating Firefox?

PC / Windows 7 (yes, still) / Firefox 100.0.2 :

Past several months on Firefox, when attempting to access a video either embedded (say, in a news site or YouTube), the download is unusually slow, with such screen notices (attached) appearing.

The "gray bar" across the bottom (which, as I understand it, indicates buffering/caching activity) immediately loads up about .25%, then awaits the video to play . . . and then it sits there and goes through any combination of the attached .jpgs.

Quite often, regardless of how many tabs are open (perhaps a half dozen), the (Not Responding) message will show up, and then it's just wait it out (usually 15-45 seconds).

Any solutions / comments / directions-to-point-me-in?
