I love having the ability to group some of my tabs but I'm wondering if it's possible to create "subgroups" of tabs inside of a "group". For instance, it would be very confusing & even chaotic to have one tab group named "Computers" that has tabs for sites where I buy computers/parts/software, sites where I go to for support for my hardware/software issues, & sites where where I can read reviews about the up & coming new hardware/software. However, the chaos would go away if I could have 3 tab subgroups (Shopping, Support, & News) UNDER a "top level" tab named "Computers".

From what I've been able to find on the Firefox website, this capability is not yet available but I'm wondering if it's something that's currently in development. If not, I would like to suggest that it be seriously considered. I realize that some people could take this kind of capability to the extreme, with hundreds of tabs organized using multiple "sub-tiers" & trying to develop something to support the extreme cases would be a nightmare. However, the ability to even two levels (groups & 1 level of subgroups) would be a HUGE improvement over the current situation.

Today (06/12/2025) upon opening a new tab, Firefox slid the new option of uploading a custom picture to apply to the background. Tried the new feature, now I can not find the setting that allows me to change the picture. I read the thread "Customize your wallpapers". The instructions are as follows; You can personalize your Firefox New Tab page by adding one of the available wallpapers. Follow these steps:

  1. In the right corner of the New Tab page, click the gear IG settings icon.
  2. In the customization panel, under the Wallpapers section, you will see different categories like Solid colors, Abstract and Photographs.

       Click the category you prefer. For example, selecting Abstract will show a variety of abstract designs. 

The problem I have is the customization panel is no where to be seen, I have click on EVERYTHING possible, it is not in my settings, why? How do find this?

I updated firefox, and all my addons and sign ins are gone now. Search history and tabs remained intact. It also created a folder on my desktop, but I'm not sure how do I "extract" my old data from it.

PLEASE HELP! I allowed Avast to do a "clean up" this week. That usually entailed a "scan" for viruses. NOT ANYMORE! My computer is really messed up! I just tried to delete Avast, and even though I hate to see ads, I think their Ad Blocker is messing up my PC. I just noticed that when I asked what I thought was FIREFOX a question, the answers were supplied by an entity called THLIOKNI. WTF is THAT?????? Seriously, what is happening to my relatively NEW PC--had to buy a new CPU in October of 2023. And I've always used Firefox. But WINDOWS 11 is the operating system on this PC, and it is NOT compatible with Firefox apparently! I'm an elderly woman and I cannot handle this stress! What I also noticed is that I read Substack writers and depend on them for accurate description of current political and social news, but now I can't access the "like" buttons on commentators. Is that a Substack issue (I don't think so!), or is it something to do with the Avast "clean up?" WHAT ON EARTH IS THLIOKNI and how the hell did that get on my computer? PLEASE ADVISE ASAP! I have tried many times to download and install firefox but when I try to install it, and sait for what seems to be theinstallation process to finish, I keep getting a page that says invalid URL.

How can I insall the prowser?

When I signed into my computer this morning, a pop-up asked me if I wanted Firefox to update. I let it do that, and then a pop-up came up letting choose among some photos and art for a desktop background. It even let me upload a photo of mine. I chose one of yours, now I can't change to any other photo I have on my computer. Please help.

where is the new search icon...i don't see it on/near the address bar on my firefox browser.....u say the new icon allows the user to choose which search engine to use but where is the icon?

Some websites I can get to load a page but then cannot access any other part of that website. A good example is Flickr which I can access initially but almost immediately it is part greyed out. Screenshot attached. I can access these sites on Edge with no problem.

Suddenly my outlook account stopped working, unable to do anything, emails disappeared, is this a problem related to Microsoft Windows 11 connection? Couldn't get through to microsoft help. What can I do?

I have a brand new Windows 11 gaming PC. My primary sound output is working fine for the PC, but when I play sound from a Firefox window, I hear nothing. Must be a simple setting, but where do I find it?

I am repeatedly getting this pop up window after starting my computer and selecting the Firefox icon in the toolbar to start the browser. When using the Firefox browser I always update Firefox when prompted, so it should be the latest version, unlike what it states in the popup window. If I want to use the browser, I have to sign in to the browser and sync my data and I have to re load all my tabs from my history. It is time consuming to the point where my colleagues who were using Firefox have uninstalled Firefox and are now using a different browser. I could do the same...but I want a solution. I'm using Windows 11.

Hello: Thanks for creating Firefox. This is my first question after more than a decade using it. I couldn't find proper information about this. This week Firefox started to show a tiny shopping cart icon over the task bar icon of Firefox (image attached). I don´t know what it's and I can't find the functionality that make that appear. So, How do I disable it? I use Firefox everywhere, and I don't like it, specially in my job's laptop as my boss can occasionally see it and it's obviously not work-related in my case. I use chatgpt to get answers and it points to a "Shopping Assistant" feature, but I don't find it. Is it related? The term is so common that I couldn't narrow down to my specific question (what is it and how to disable it)

I use windows 11 and 138.0.4 (64-bit)

I have read ALL of the help comments of all of the people who posted basically the same thing on Microsoft Community Forum that I could find - and can't find an answer.

I have: Two Laptops - Windows 10 and 11 Use Outlook Live (Hotmail) via Firefox

All Firefox browsers are UP TO DATE - and I have checked all the settings I can find - including about: config on Firefox itself - for some reason Pictures from senders - Yes - those I trust - do NOT show - I checked on Chrome and no problem, Edge no Problem - pictures show on BOTH those browsers - However - I prefer USING FIrefox (I don't like Chrome and only use it if I have to track emails and use THOSE features etc.)- I disabled ANY AD Blockers I have. As for Virus Protection - On Windows 11 I have UltraAV on the Windows 10 just Microsoft Defender - This just started happening.

I DO NOT get any kind of placeholder or a red X or any text saying anything - Just NO pix show in my Inbox.

This DOES NOT happen with the Outlook App on my Android or it seems anywhere else.

Can anyone help me?

Windows 11/Firefox/Google

Firstly, my apologies, but I only have a very basic understanding of computers.

I somehow ended up fiddling with a side bar on the right hand side of my screen, and the next thing I knew I had lost the ability to have multiple tabs open on my screen. I tried google a solution and came up with this:

"View>Cusomise toolbar in browers. Look for the new tab button. If its there, drag it back to the toolbar, typically to the right of the existing tab."

I tried that, but it didn't work. The plus sigh came out on the left rather than the right of my search bar, and every time I clicked it I just got a new page, rather than a new tab being added to the existing one.

I would be grateful if anyone has a solution to this issue.
