Hello, I would like to know how I can avoid having to enter an account authorization code everytime I sign into my laptop. Everytime my laptop hibernates or shuts down I come to find that though I login first try (with password), EVERY SINGLE TIME I for some reason have to go retrieve a code from my email to complete sign in. This is a huge pet peeve and I want to know what to do.

I have been a Mozilla Firefox user for years, today I used CCleaner and since, have not been able to use Firefox as I wish. I downloaded a new Firefox Browser, installed it, was able to use it for a short while, but when I stopped using the computer for a while and came back to it, I can only get Chrome, and cannot get Firefox up and running again...I have even uninstalled Chrome in the control panel, but it is still popping up when I click on my Firefox icon!! Help!! FF is my default browser, has been for years!!

I have tried to attach a screenshot of Google on my computer, it won't let me attach it, no matter where I save it. How do I get them out of my computer? I need help!!

I have tried task manager, 7 instances of Firefox w/0% CPU, No instance of Chrome showing.

Today I received an email from a friend from Linked in. I clicked on their link to Linkedin.com and Firefox opened and just started spinning. I've been using Firefox for years and have never had any issues with getting a Linkedin email then clicking on the link to open Firefox which logs me in automatically to Linkedin. Today was the first time. I was on Linked in last week with no problems. I was able to access Linkedin using a "Private Window". This happened recently with another service I used when I tried to connect to their administrative page (I think it was a TV service). After contacting support we tried a private window and all worked fine.

I'm getting pretty tired of security shutting me down without any clue why, and I have to spend 15min to 1 hr troubleshooting everything in my computing world.  :-(

I couldn't find anywhere where I could "manage exceptions". I found a [Manage Exceptions] button in the "Browser Privacy" section next to "Enhanced Tracking Protection", but I wasn't able to enter anything there.

Hello,

my problem is even if I saved my password, firefox doesn't autofill it and just prompt "show the saved IDs". It's only when I click on the message and it opens Firefox lockwise that the password I am waiting for appears on the website. It is quite convenient and makes me lose time as it happens on a website I use for work.

Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for the poor english

I don't know if this has just become a problem with the most recent release of FF or was a problem before, as I only recently discovered the problem, but I did discover that my cookies were not deleting when using the shortcut Ctrl+Shft+Del -- and yes, making sure 'Cookies' and 'Everything' were selected. I can still manually delete the cookies by going to 'Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data' (which is how I discovered they were not deleting using the shortcut; I just happened to check here), but I would like to be able to use the shortcut. Any ideas on why this isn't working? Thank you for any solutions/suggestions.

I'm an old Firefox user. Thank you for excellent Browser!

However, I've seen some bad things in Firefox 89, so I'll report it. After upgrading Firefox to 89, access from behind the proxy no longer reaches all addresses beyond the firewall. I noticed that the page opens correctly when I play around with the settings, which is related to the HTTPS-Only Mode and Automatic proxy configuration URL settings. I specify the address of "http:" in the Automatic proxy configuration URL. In that case, if HTTP-Only Mode is ON, it seems that the proxy configuration file cannot be read correctly. When I turned off HTTP-Only Mode and reloaded again, the page was displayed correctly. Alternatively, I can give up the specification in the Automatic proxy configuration URL and switch to the manual specification. That said, before 89, all settings were displayed correctly, so I think it was a trigger for the change in 89. Is there anything you can think of? Is such a phenomenon happening in other people?

Whenever I try to delete my Firefox Account, it says that my password is incorrect. I've changed my password, copy-pasted it from the password change page and it still says my password is incorrect. How can I fix this? The password works fine for other Firefox things, just not the account deletion page.

I have a problematic site where I have to delete all cookies before I can get access. I have tried setting the "Cookie and Site Data" Exceptions to both "Allow for Session" and "Block". Despite these settings, Firefox continues to store cookies from this site....therefore, I still have to clear them from the "manage data" area before I can gain access.

Is this a Firefox quirk? I am at a loss.

Thanks.

For a few days now, Firefox (Dev. Edition, version 90) has not allowed me to manually visit http:// websites, and automatically and silently redirects to their https:// version. This is on every single website I have tried.

Things that I have tried:

Disable/remove HTTPS Everywhere Enable then re-disable built-in Firefox HTTPS Only Mode

Restart Firefox 'Forget about this site' Clear cache Clear site preferences A bunch of stuff in about:config (fallback-to-https, stricttransportpreloadlist etc)

I set my primary password yesterday since I was leaving my laptop with a service person. Today, Firefox tells me the password is incorrect. I am entirely confident I know what I intended the password to be, and it seems wholly unrealistic that I made the same typo twice in one entry, yet I've trial and errored almost every possible typo I can think would cause this. I am really not sure what to do now, all my accounts are locked behind a password that is not the one I set less than 24 hours ago. What can I do?
