So I just cleared my cookies and Cache for my web browswer since Youtube looked like it was having some kind of issue, and when I went to go sign into my email, I got a very odd message. I signed in as usual, but I got a 400 error message, saying the server can't process the request because it's malformed. I have no idea what's going on here. I'm using version 110.0.1 of Firefox. Just updated earlier yesterday and up till fifteen minutes ago, everything was working fine. What happened?!

I'm including a screenshot of what I'm seeing. Please help!

Edit: I managed to figure it out. Somehow Gstatic was blocked on Noscript. Sorry for the confusion!

Folks ---- 4 Apri 2023 ---

The following repeats my above question ----

Off Topic: What's the DEFAULT Font and Formatting for the Windows "Notepad"? I've inadvertantly set the wrong Font, and can't put it back[!]

What happened is: I was "playing" around with an alternate Font in a Notepad Document, and wound up reseting the font usage EVERYWGERE I used Notepad edits after that. I'd just like to put stuff back like it was originally.

I guess for that, I need the original Font and attendant informtion.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Hello,

What is the setting to DISABLE thumbnails in Google search results, or ANY search engines? I have the opposite problem of most users here LOL.

I do NOT want to see thumbnails on any search results from any search engines. The closest solution I've found on these forums from back in 2013 no longer works (see below):

Do you mean the thumbnails that you see on the about:newtab page?

You can create these Boolean prefs on the about:config page to prevent Firefox from generating thumbnails for the about:newtab page.

  name: browser.pagethumbnails.capturing_disabled with value: true
  name: pageThumbs.enabled with value: false

You can right-click on the about:config page to open the right-click context menu and choose New > Boolean to create both prefs as a new Boolean type pref.

  http://kb.mozillazine.org/about:config

You need to delete the thumbnails folder in the Firefox profile folder to remove already stored web page thumbnails."

Thanks in advance for the assist! :-)

Firefox can't keep login even other sites like :Youtube Facebook... Every time I exit Firefox for a while and re-login, the logins to websites log out and have to log back in again and again (I've tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists). ( I think due to the settings for Firefox )

I have a Windows XP machine kept solely to run those applications that wont run under Windows 10, and there are several.

It has a hardware switch that removes access to my network and is only connected briefly to print to my network printer then disconnected as the default. It does allow access to the Internet but that is only ever to one particular site, nominally once per year.

One program requires a yearly update to an internal text file from its parent organization. Previously all I had to do was briefly connect to my network access that file from that organization using the Firefox version on the XP machine to download that file directly to the program that needs it.

I tried that this week May 2021 only to receive an error message from somewhere to "Try Internet Explorer".

I have a workaround solution involving my W10 machine and a thumb drive to transfer that 1K text file manually, but the process of direct transfer to the XP machine used to work, and is much more convenient.

What has changed, such that the Firefox version on the XP machine no longer works?

Ideas please.

Hi, I need to use alt+scroll to zoom in and out on a website I use regularly. However, often, I will use alt+scroll to zoom out and end up leaving the session as firefox backs out to the previous page. This means that I have to spend a long time logging back in and loading my page.

I have tried shortkeys, but it doesn't seem to support modifying shortcuts using the scroll wheel.

How can I disable this shortcut?

Thank you.

I recently updated FireFox to it's new version and added add-ons. Usually, when an add-on gets added, it shows immediately on the top left on the toolbar. (in videos and articles). However it doesn't display on mine. I did some research and found another method: customize toolbar -> drag the add-on to the toolbar. That didn't work either because no add-ons displays when i enter customize toolbar. Instead, there's an add-ons icon to drag. Dragging it on the toolbar and clicking on it doesn't do anything. I also read that if the toolbar is full there would be a + icon and when i click on it add-ons shows up. (my toolbar is actually empty and i don't have a + icon). So yeah, i'm left with no solutions. Appreciate some help and suggestions.

Hello everybody!

I just updated my firefox to the newest version - and I absolutely hate the new design. Is there any way to "keep" the newest version, but have the older design?

I know that installing the version before the design got updated would be a possibility, but for various reasons I would like to avoid doing that - at least if there is any other option. If not, I'll just have to do that I guess.

Help would be very much appreciated!

Greetings
