I can't see the SYNC option in Settings so I...

Use about:config to change identity.fxaccounts.enabled = true I can now see 'Sync' in Settings When I go to "Sign into Sync", after I enter my password, it hangs for 10 seconds, then says Working, then always just hangs there forever. If I login to Mozilla using a different tab, it signs in ok.

I have tried this after successfully changing the password, and after restarting firefox.

I am using the latest Firefox version.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I was trying to get sync to work, I go to sign in and choose my google account, then I make my password for sync, when I press "Create Password" it just tells me "Unverified Session" in a red bar on top of my email, did I do something wrong?

Both devices are recognized in my account. After running Sync, the history from the desktop is on the mobile but the bookmarks are not. Desktop is running Firefox snap v. 121 on Ubuntu 22.04. Mobile is running Firefox app v. 121 on Android 10. I have a copy of the sync.log but it's really long. Can attach if needed.

Trying to sync between my PC and my iphone. Every time I've attempted it I've gotten this type of error report. And when I press sync on my iphone it tells me that sync is offline. I've logged out and back in a few times on both devices and I've also tried turning sync on and off again and it's not working. Tried syncing again and it didn't show up on my other pc either.

I have Firefox on 3 devices, I deleted several passwords from 1 device expecting this change to sync to the other 2 devices. Instead for several days the 2 devices showed the original number of passwords whilst the device I made the changes on showed the new amount. Now that device appears to have resynced the passwords I deleted. Am I supposed to delete them on each device?

I have the latest version of FF on all devices.

I'm wondering if it's possible to send tab from macOS Firefox to another device... I couldn't find any clue to achieve that, since that right click doesn't have the option to send tab throughout the devices like on windows.

Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I can't even log onto sites with saved passwords anymore. Any help appreciated.

I try to synchronize my firefox on my new laptop but it gives 5 minutes to enter the code, the code arrives afer more than 15 minutes.. The help syggests if it not works to use another mail address but I cannot delete the mail adress, every time I want to synchronize the existing mailadress appears with a password field and the adress cannot be changed. Can someone help me to solve this, is there an other way to synchronize?

XP FF68esr needed upgrade, wont sync, blue snake chasing tail. Installed Linux and FF78 (dual boot) on same machine. Deleted key4 cert9 and places carried over key3 cert8 and logins from xp68 and got everything back in order and working, except for sync. I was running FF79 on my Firestick and login to my FF account I could see the Linux machine but no sync between the two. I just installed FF120 Nightly on the Firestick to try to get used to it, but it wont sync to the Linux. It did sync to the FF79 on the Firestick however.

I was trying to use the sync function on my MacBook Pro. However, the browser does not seem to log in at all. In the top right menu, it still shows the "sign in" button, instead of my email address. (see the attached pictures which I captured from my mac and a virtual machine running Firefox ESR on Debian. Another test on the flatpak version on the vertural machine apears to be normal.

Checks on account activities indicates the login histroy exsits, yet the syncing function remains unavailable.

the browser on the Mac is Version 102.0.1 (64-bit) which apears to be up to date the browser on the virtual machine is Version 91.11.0esr (64-bit)

Hello . I hope you be fine. After reinstalling Windows, I installed Firefox and enabled Sync. My addons synced on firefox but my bookmarks didn't. I had very important bookmarks. I tried everything but my bookmarks didn't come back. Please help me to fix this big problem.

I synced my firefox with my laptop before I wiped the drive and reloaded windows 10. I have reloaded firefox and signed it but it doesn't bring any of my bookmarks back in. Any suggestions how to restore?

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. I couldn't find any email address so I can address my concern directly, It's why I am posting here. Please help, I am so lost now. I do not understand how firefox sync is supposed to work. I have a desktop and a laptop. The desktop is FF 85 on Linux Mint (I cannot get a later version due to some querk) The laptop is 99 on Windows 10 Both are signed in to sync but my bookmarks were scrambled so I signed out the laptop and cleared the profile, cleaned up the bookmarks in the desktop and to be safe I tried just syncing the tabs, not the bookmarks, by opening the fresh firefox on the laptop and signing in again. In the sidebar under my account icon I clicked "Synchronise now" and the open tabs from my desktop appeared in a list underneath, jumbled up. (I have 2 separate windows open on the desktop with different tabs in each, but this separation was not followed either, there didn’t seem to be any provision for syncing tabs in two separate windows)

But the row of tabs didn’t open, all I can do is open them one by one from the list on the right, this is a slow process as every time I click on a tab in the list the new page opens in the same single tab, not a new one, but the sidebar closes again.

Is this what’s supposed to happen? I was expecting the synced row of tabs to open automatically.

This feature would have been useful as my OS on the desktop, (Linux Mint) tends to crash and to have the on the laptop would be a good backup.

Incidentally the other way I try to back up the lost tabs is to select them all and bookmark them to a new folder which I call “backup” but it seems this doesn’t necessarily duplicate them, which I would prefer, so any of the open tabs that were previously bookmarked risk being removed from the original bookmarked folder, without my noticing, and I am therefore reluctant to delete the backup folder without checking that it doesn’t contain the only bookmark of a page.

When I came back to syncing the bookmarks, how do I avoid them getting scrambled again?

From the subject line - I keep getting this error when trying to use Firefox Sync on my Windows 10 desktop. Sync already works on Mac and Android, and I've already verified that I'm using my primary email to login.

I have followed various threads about importing my passwords without any success.

I recently swapped PCs so I exported passwords and bookmarks to disk to install on the new PC.

The bookmarks have imported ok but the passwords are in the CSV format created by Mozilla on export from the old PC and there is no option to import a CSV which seems a bit crazy.

I cannot find a way to import this data. I have tried syncing with my laptop to get the passwords but that doesn't work either.

If anyone could help me resolve this problem I would be very grateful.

I have Firefox Sync enabled in my Firefox browser on a few computers. When I logged in to Firefox Sync initially, it did sync-up my new computer with all of the saved bookmarks and history. I am not sure if any of my logins were saved). When I go to websites and login, I am prompted with the dialog to save my credentials, and I say ok, save. But the logins are not remembered. And in my about:logins page shows "no logins found". I don't care about retrieving any old logins, I just want to be able to save new ones and get the default behavior of saving logins working again.

I am trying to transfer my bookmarks, open tabs and passwords etc. from my old laptop to my new one. It appears I have to do this with Firefox Sync under the preferences menu. However when I try to connect a new device, I am told to open the code scanner on my Firefox App, which sounds like I have to use a mobile? How do I scan the QR code using my new laptop?
