I have had this spam pop up 2 times when I was on Facebook through Firefox through DuckDuckGo. Could someone confirm that this is spam and how to fix it? Also, I would like to report it to Firefox and I can't find how to do that either. Thank you

Hi, I like to know how to transfer addresses to bookmark toolbars? I have the copy all addresses of bookmarks in the previous firefox. I transferred all, but they are in one bookmark, not in toolbars, or other bookmarks. I like to set the same as the previous bookmarks. Thank you so much for your help, Miyabi

Every time I quit FF, FF crashes, or my Mac crashes, my bookmarks either disappear entirely, or the toolbar bookmarks and/or my "Other Bookmarks" folder disappear while leaving my main "Bookmarks Menu" bookmarks. When I tried to restore from json backups, I discovered that my last one seems to be from last October. So I used Time Machine to restore my FF user profile from March 1. This works, but then I go through the cycle I just described above again ... and again. New backups of my Mac do not hold onto the bookmarks when I restore FF user profiles made after March 1.

When I try to manually back up my bookmarks or export my bookmarks to an HTML file from inside the "Manage Bookmarks" window, everything seems to work, but then when I go looking for the file I supposedly created (e.g. bookmarks-2024-03-04.json), no such file exists in the location where I saved it and searching for a file with "bookmarks" in its name yields only bookmarks from other browsers and the old bookmark backups from last October and earlier.

While I was browsing an open tab I moved my cursor over to the Bookmarks icon and the cursor automatically enlarged itself. I expect the cursor to remain at its normal size when I hover over the bookmarks icon but instead it became larger. I cannot reproduce the error unfortunately.

Should I use DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials with Mozilla/Firefox? Would all of the Firefox features work the same or would DuckDuckgo replace Firefox features? If both worked together it would seem to be the best option. I would greatly appreciate some input on this.

M2 MacBook Air running macOS Ventura. When I open a website which wants access to my camera I am asked if I want to allow this. I say "Allow", and the light next to the builtin webcam turns green, but I see nothing in the camera sub-window on the webpage which was granted access. No error message, just no camera video is shown by the webpage. In the menu bar is a camera icon which I can click on and confirms I have "Allowed" camera access. Setting / Privacy / Permissions / Autoplay is set to Block Audio. I have verified the camera works with other apps (Photo Booth). How can I diagnose this?

Hey, I've noticed lack of sync in audio when pausing video. What I mean:

Assumptions: - Using bluetooth headphones (tested only on airpods pro, 2 different pairs) - system MacOS 14.2.1 - Macbook Pro M1 Pro

1. Play any video with audio (vimeo, youtube, custom players) 2. Pause

Outcome: Right headphone audio stops first Left headphone audio stops after small delay

Expected outcome: Right & Left headphone audio stops at the same time

I'm quite sensitive to things like that.. maybe someone knows a fix for this or this is just Firefox bug?

This started recently, after I installed the latest upgrade of Firefox and the video downloader. Not happening on Safari or DuckDuckGo. I suspect they have spotted I am using Firefox and are lying about the connection problem. Any suggestions welcome. thanks!

I'm currently looking for a job, and I keep my windows separated by category, so I have one that is job search related, and the other that is more general. In my job search window, I have many tabs open for different job postings that I want to hang on to /keep track of. When I want to jump to one of these tabs, I open a new tab and type in whatever its title would be, and then when it pops up in my history I click the "Switch to tab" shortcut to get to it. I find it saves time as opposed to sifting through 50 tabs. In this case, I was trying to find a tab that was opened to a sales job posting, and I clicked switch to tab. However, it took me to a what I think is an entirely separate window, one that I didn't even have open previously, and my jobs window disappeared. I tried to reopen it in History, but it didn't show up. Does anyone know what might have happened here, and how I can recover that window?

On my MacBookAir (M2) audio on a lot of sites is out off sync (Imgur, X) but not on YouTube or streaming services (netflix and others). I restarted FF in save mode: no improvement. FF is up to date. OSX is up to date.

If I open a website in Safari there is no problem: audio/video perfectly in sync; gifs on Imgur.com for instance.

Not sure but on my MacBookPro (Intel) there was no such a problem.

Suggestions?

I cannot browse using firefox and Safari on my MacBook Air for the last 3 days. Message saying "Warning potential security risk ahead" I have cleared cache, dont know what else to do

I would like to use the Firefox Container tabs. I understand how they group tabs in different catagories keeping cookies separate and making your browsing more private. I use an add-on tool that groups tabs so that I can open an entire set of tools at once. Can I use the Firefox Container tabs in a similar way? I'd like to be able to select one container and have all of the tabs in that container open at once.

Basically, I have three different profiles in my Firefox with three different app icons, but only one of has notifications.

For some odd reason, the MacOS notification center is showing the wrong profile. It's like only one of the profiles is visible, or working. I tried resetting it, which is apples way of "deleting" it, but Firefox keeps forcing that particular profile and not my main one.

When browsing in Firefox and I'm trying to select buttons to click, Firefox often now shows me a menu instead of allowing me to click. I have to migrate away from the button elsewhere on the page a few times and then get back to the button. Sometimes that works. Sometimes it doesn't. Why is it doing this now?

Currently, there appears to be only one option to tell Firefox to open a given site in a specific container; that is, from the URL bar, to the right.

Would it make sense to have this configuration option presented in "edit bookmark" and/or in a right-click pulldown menu "Always open in this container"?

I use Firefox stable on both my Mac and my Win 11 PC. On the mac i use the developer edition. The issue I have started about 2-3 weeks ago. Most of the time, playing youtube 4k videos just either freezes and doesn't buffer, or just skips and reloads. It is not a network issue. I've tried playing back the same video with ARC on OSX (which is based on chromium) and with Chome on windows. It works flawlessly so it's not a network issue. I've tried disabling adblocker, all the extensions, nothing. It's either Youtube messing with non google products again or a problem with Firefox itself. I even have Youtube premium and this stuff still happens without adblockers.

Any help would be appreciated.
