Hello, I have an HP laptop 250GB, (sticker saying intel CORE i5 inside) that is now practically un-usable, virtually every action gets a Firefox is not responding, the cursor is slow to respond and keeps dropping and then when a page eventually opens, when I try to use the cursor the page disappears. I am not good with computer terminology and just want to use the basics. After approx 2 years from purchase and the slowness, I went back to an old laptop at the beginning of 2020 which I have very little trouble with, but it is failing slowly and have been trying to get the newer one going again, but I get so frustrated with the waiting and mostly get nothing done. I don't know what else to add. I gave up paying for service, I am just told it should not be that slow even right from new. I knew that already. My son visited at Christmas and said the processor is running at 100% all the time. Thought it maybe a faulty processor. Ian

Hi , I can't log on to The Times & Sunday Times site and get the error message Secure Connection Failed The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. I could log on no problem before 2 days ago now can't . I can log on no problem on Chrome , help please.

We have the latest Firefox standard installed on a Windows server. i can access and use the browser normally in one account but not the other. i have submitted the reports and would like to know if there is something I can do. the report id is 5c59acb1-daa7-4eb2-a173-7690394841d3.

Everything is working fine in the troubleshooting mode and I have also deleted and changed profiles but getting the same error.

We also don't have extensions and no plugins too. i did a refresh and this did not solve the issue.

Your help will be welcome.

and you are basically expecting them to figure this out on their own by giving the smallest shread of help by saying "replace the loginsjson with the logins-backupjson"

I contacted Microsoft Support for this issue and they sent me here.

My organization uses SharePoint Online. On our home page, we're using all native Microsoft web parts, and we're not pulling anything in (to our knowledge) from third parties. It's all content being pulled from resources in our in SharePoint Online environment.

When Firefox users go to our home page, it refreshes every few seconds. Sometimes 2-3 times and then it settles, but sometimes it's indefinitely and you just end up closing the browser. Microsoft had me run a trace and they told me that they found some weirdness with "Cloudflare" causing Firefox to load over and over. As far as I know, my organization doesn't do anything with Cloudflare. They couldn't really give me much else to go on. I'd never even heard of Cloudflare before this.

Does this sound legit or, is Microsoft passing the buck?

We are seeing this issue with multiple users, including myself. It ONLY happens with Firefox.

My Dell Laptop INSPIRON 3793 running the Firefox/Mozilla Browser when I stream in Youtube or LiveNews periodically goes into the images in the photos I uploaded here. I am compelled to do a hard restart. I have been working with Dell Technical Services and they indicate they have no history of this issue. I am running Windows 10. My system has all technical updates including current drivers . I really do NOT want to move off FireFox but I getting pressure to run another Browser and wait and see if the problem surfaces. Is there any history of this issue with this Firefox. Any help or insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Cate Brown

I have recently downloaded Firefox on Windows 11. When I first installed it, it worked fine, but it crashed and I couldn't open it again. When I try to open Firefox, a "Troubleshoot Mode" window flashes for less than a second and closes. About 8 months ago, on a different computer with Windows 10, had the exact same problem. I thought it was just because it's ancient, but it does the same thing on my well-functioning computer. I have tried the Microsoft Store Firefox and downloading from the website. I have reinstalled and restarted several times, and my computer is up to date. I do not use any 3rd-party security software. I still cannot launch a Firefox window at all. I love Firefox on mobile and I really want to use it on PC. Thanks for your help!!

Around August of last year I started getting this issue where I am unable to reach any Google related site like Youtube, Gmail and such. It drove me crazy and at some point I started using other browsers because of this issue. Sometimes my request goes through and sometimes its blocked. I have disabled my anti-virus, stopped all plugins, but all my attempts at fixing this were in vain.

I have experience suddenly frame drop random 2s freeze during fps games like rainbow six siege, apex legends, csgo, 3A like GTA5. Suddenly frame drop like running 178 fps for a really long time and then drop to 100fps. 2s freeze like graphic is freeze for 2s and everything normal. When it happens, I put firefox in the background let static web page opened, youtube video playing(1080p) with firefox picture in picture or open it in a new tab.

Method I use to debug: 1. Fresh installed system: windows 10 22h2, windows 21h2, 22h2, 23h2. 2. Motherboard driver: fresh installed system with every combination of driver installed. Driver come from asus website, iobit driver booster, or 360 driver manager. 3. Multiple monitor: I have three monitors. I also tried every combination of these three monitors. 4. Usb device: I am not using any usb dock/hub. I also tried plug or unplug all of them. 5. Keyboards and mouse: I have three keyboards and two mice. Test with all of them. I also swap to new pcb for my keyboards. 6. CPU，motherboard, ram, SSD, HDD, Ethernet cables, usb cables: I order new parts and test them. I test both ram with memtest86, all passes. 7. windows activation: I tried three ways to activate windows. 8. GPU: I have a 2080s and 4090: I tried both gpu and test different version of nvidia driver (uninstall with DDU and install without nvidia experience app). 9. Temperature: I have custom loop connect to my cpu. under R23, p95, max package temp is 88C. GPU max temp is 72C under furmark test. I do these tests both, and I use a meter to track power, total power never exceed 600W and I have a 1000W PSU. I also check all power cable is not exposed its wire and normally bent. 10. App: I only install necessary driver installed and steam and firefox. And bios is XMP on/off, Multicore enhancement on/off. I test them both. And it doesn't help. 11. Different version of firefox. I tried 118, 119, 120. I also tried refresh firefox, disable all extensions, default setting for firefox. (I have experienced poor firefox performance back to firefox 107 at first release of windows 11 22h2).

I love to use firefox. I am software developer too. If possible, I can assist test this.

For the last few days Firefox asks me to upgrade every time I open it up. If I agree, it appears to do its thing because I get no error messages. Anybody else have this issue? Any suggestions for what to do?

Please fix it so that we can either shut off or resize favicons in Google search results. This is with Firefox 123.0 using the default settings for fonts. It used to be that filters for Ublock and ABP would eliminate favicons totally. I'd prefer that solution since to me they serve no purpose. But at least make them reasonable sized.

I'm using Manjaro Linux and I place Firefox in a particular position on the screen. In the previous version, just before 122.0, Firefox would "remember" the last position on the screen. Now when it starts up, the window is in the middle of the screen and not to the top left as when it was shut down. Anyone else notice this?

I'm a hiker and backpacker. I have recently begun using AllTrails.com to record my hikes making them easier to share with others as well as to save them for my own records. Everything works fine except uploading photos. This aspect of the app does not work at all in Firefox. It does work with MS Edge and Google neither of which I want to use.

Hello there! I'm a long time fan of firefox and use it on all of my devices. I've NEVER had issues with it but for some reason on my computer that has Windows 11 it's been crashing quite a bit.

To clarify, I'll be surfing like always but when I have maybe a third tab (usually youtube) up, then everything just STOPS. This happens at least ONCE a day or sometimes twice. Then, I have to quit firefox forcefully (which windows does say it'll get the crash report). Yet, I never get a crash report from firefox or any such message despite that I do have it checked in my settings.

No other browser I have on this computer has ANY issue (chrome nor edge--both work fine. It's just firefox).

The thing is, I've been all over the internet about this. I've scanned my computer with both windows defender and malwarebytes--found nothing no matter how deeply I scanned. Re-installed firefox several times. Refreshed it as well. Uninstalled/re-installed my extensions. Unchecked 'use hardware acceleration when available.' I updated my drivers, etc. etc.

The only thing that 'seemed' to work was creating a new profile here on firefox. After doing that, I could surf for a whole DAY or two without a crash. But then suddenly today it crashed like normal (again when I was on youtube). I haven't tried using firefox in safemode to see if it crashes because the crashes are random and could happen at any time in the day. Just seems like a lot of time in safemode when I need to be working.

Please advise! All of my other computers (either on windows 10 or on mac/android) have ZERO issues. Once more, this computer handles chrome/microsoft edge just fine but for some reason my windows 11 computer is having trouble with firefox (and firefox ONLY) no matter what I do. I hope you can help and also help me understand why firefox doesn't seem to have any crash reports for me when it HAS crashed several times.
